When we were discussing earlier our March games the general concensus was if we achieve 4 to 6 points from the games we would not have done to bad,now the doom-mongers have already given up and say we're down,I disagree I think we are still up for a minimum 8 points and possibly more. A..Ipswich 0-3..0 points. H..Leicester 3-2..3 points. A..Portsmouth win..3 points. H..Watford..win..3 points. A..M/boro..loss..0 points. H..Derby..win..3 points. Total 12 maybe 10, 8 very possible with the new team spirit showed during last 2 games.. Our April program or run in is not to bad and I reckon 9 points maybe 10 again is very possible.. A..Nottingham Forest..win..3 points.. H..Coventry..win..3 points.. A..Birmingham..loss..0 points.. H..West Ham..draw..1 points.. H..Barnsley..win..3 points.. A..Burnley..loss..0 points.. Total points 9 or 10,not grasping at straws, quite possibe. So with a possible total of 18 or 19 points that would give us 52 or 53 that surely would give us safety and we have got a better chance than 3 or 4 of the teams around us. Reason for hope I think.
Well harry redknapp said something last week " i would rather be 4 points in front than 4 points behind" which currently is what we are and i think we should be happy about that, i can see it going to the final 4 games of the season. lets just pray by then we can relax a bit!!!
I personally think this is going to the last game of the season! Burnley away is going to be a party! took my daughter on her first away trip there, she said they talk funny up here don't they!!
Tough run-in at the end of the season wize. The last two, Barnsley (h) and Burnley (a), will be of more importance to you than them, but before that: Nottm Forest (a) - also fighting relegation Coventry (h) - also fighting relegation Birmingham (a) - going for play-offs West Ham (h) - going for automatic Those four games will be real scraps; only the strongest survive!
Based our season long form I don't think there are many games coming up where we can brim with confidence. However the last 2 games have proven that we can kick it up a notch and even though we didn't get six points I believe that the squad is starting to compete. Our lousy goal difference could come back to haunt us and it was only that string of games where we shipped in 3 goals each time that hurt us so badly in the GD department. Fight and commitment is what we need to get the climb to safety completed and nothing less is acceptable. Do you think we need 10 points to guarantee championship football next year, or what?
The Situation.. * Fourth-from-bottom of the table and under pressure to pick up as many points as possible from the remaining ten games, City are engaged in a fight against relegation. The Action.. * BRISTOL City boss Derek McInnes will fall back upon his most experienced players as he plots a path to Championship survival, but the return of several seasoned campaigners has coincided with improved performances against Leicester and Cardiff to give the Robins renewed hope of retaining their Championship status. The Candidates.. * Now fully recovered from the injuries that have laid them low at one time or another this season, veteran defenders Jamie McAllister, Stephen McManus, Louis Carey and Liam Fontaine are back in the starting line-up and providing McInnes with a level of knowhow he was unable to call upon earlier in the campaign. The Performances.. * Although the Robins have not kept a clean sheet in 12 games dating back to January 3, they have again made themselves difficult to beat, taking three points off Leicester and making play-off contenders Cardiff fight hard for their 2-1 victory at Ashton Gate last Saturday.McInnes said: "I've an experienced backline in there at the moment and that is important. The Reasons.. * "Our last couple of games have been more open with both teams going at it hammer and tong. When it is like that, it is important to have experienced people in defence."We have been far too open in a couple of away games recently and we need to keep things tighter and restrict the opposition to as few chances as possible". The Hope.. * "I thought we looked a very solid team when I first came in, one that restricted the oppositions to very few chances. I think we've shown that side again against a couple of very good teams." The thin RED line, let's hope it works.... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...s-senior-men/story-15514850-detail/story.html
It has to work wize and the price for failure isn't worth thinking about. Our play of late has been better and the defence in particular have kept us slightly more competitive. We have to build on the improved general performances and secure 3 points when we have the chance, and not conceding early goals will go a long way to ensuring safety. Portsmouth is the place to start but it won't be easy will it?
No it wont mike, but we really REALLY cant lose, a win or the very least a draw is a MUST, the sooner we pull away the better. Like ive said, our home form will have to keep us up and we have some nice home games, Watford, Barnsley, Derby and coventry easily 12 points and those points could see us safe !
Surely if we play with the team spirit shown in the last 2 games, the old guard remain fit and we win some of the games highlighted, all bodes well for us..
well im not going to lie i am no longer confident of our survival, but still very very hopeful. Eating **** is always in the back on my mind when we lose why did i ever say it WHY!!!
On the face of it 52 / 53 points wont be the issue I think it is likely to be less, maybe as low as 47. 10 GAMES LEFT and on the points to games ratio we have another 12 points max! OOOOOPS 1 SHORT!!!! we have 5 home need to win 2 of them draw 1 of them we have 5 away need to win 1 draw 2 of them Averaging home record we could win 3 lose 2, and away winning more than 1 and drawing 1 is pushing it but gives 13 points. the games against POMPS AND COVENTRY could so easily confirm our fate. Florest (19th) will finish above Millwall who may shade us for 22nd!
i really dont know where it would come from hopfully they will take pity and not kick me when im down and not make me eat ****....but that wont happen ANYWAY, WE R STAYIN UP
Plead temporary insanity and tell them all to piss off,who gives a ****e what the "gasheads" think or say anyway, don't fall for their crap shiny, you might have to eat it.....
I said a while ago that I thought we'd get around 42 points in total come the end of the season and I can't really see it changing. A win tomorrow irrespective of other results would be fantastic but I don't see that happening either.
