due to apparent abuse of cross threads (not us), the function of cross threading has been disabled for now. this means the city banter thread will be on just on the city board and the shrews banter thread is just on the shrews board and the wycombes lookalike thread is on our board only now and not theirs as well. so those who wish to post on these threads, you need to go to their boards to find the threads the problem behind this is some people keep posting cross threads and the mods on the 2nd board cant remove them. example is when gary speed died, some on general chat posted very inappropriate things on general chat but then cross threaded it on newcastle board which caused lots of issues as you can imagine. and the newcastle mods couldnt do anything as the main board was the general chat board. today another incident has happened on general chat and liverpools board. they are trying to give mods more powers to deal with cross threads but in the mean time the function been disabled until they fix the problem. thought you should all know in case your wondering where some threads have disappeard
i would cross board this on your board but i cant of course i wont bother posting a seperate thread on your board as i dont want to tread on your mods toes
I had that problem with "that time of the year" thread that went wrong. It wouldn't let me do it to several teams they should hurry up and bring it back, and allow us to cross it through several boards
they use to allow quite a few teams to be included in cross thread but due abuse that was limited it to just 2 boards only like our banter threads. so your thread worked fine for our board and shrews board but other clubs would not be accepted. that was your problem. now there is no cross threading until they sort it. news is that it wont take long at all
All getting a bit heavy. If people want serious chat they can go on their own team's fans forum. These sites I reckon are for less serious chat and a bit of banter. If people get worked up about things they can always go for a walk and get a life! That 'music' thread was totally inoffensive and now it's gone from our board...nuts.
spot on p49 although we can have serious chat as well when serious threads are made of course! unfortunately p49, due to some abusing cross thread facility, powers above have had to stop that facility until they make arrangements for all mods to have more powers. as a knock on effect of them stopping cross threads, the current existing cross threads have stopped too. those few who abused it has ruined it for everybody else to enjoy. those on general chat have a very dark sense of humour and you will often find things very offensive even to me which is why i avoid it. if they make their offensive threads and keep it to general chat then there be no problem. but when they include the offensive thread on to other teams forums then the mods on those forums cant get rid of it (which will soon change). when garry speed died there were rumours that he was gay so those on general chat thought it be funny to photoshop pics of gary speed in gay images. they then incuded it on the newcastle board. this was the same day he died and next day. so many newcastle members left the forum. it died down but yesterday when bbc announced that the liverpool fans were to blame for the hillsborough disaster, general chat folk decided to put it on the liverpool board and took the piss. due to them abusing it, we are stuck until those above give mods more powers to deal with cross threads it wont be long apparently until its sorted and cross threading be back to normal and the music and banter threads be back. in mean time if you still want to post on those threads then you need to pop on the city board. i believe city mods have kindly sticky it at the top so its easy to find
