Is it time for a new banner guys? Im not sure about you, but I think this place needs to freshen up. So do you think it needs a change, and if so, any ideas for a new banner?
 
i like the one we have but that doesnt mean we dont have to change <ok>

we can open it up to the rest of the board to see if they want to keep the one we have or if they want to change it. if anyone wants a change please put ideas of things you want on the banner.

here are a few examples from other boards which gives a mix of types of things that can be done. this might give those who wants to change some ideas.

some ideas may not be possible as the image will get stretched to fit across the whole screen.

also remember that half of the banner will behind a transparent/white background so certain colours wont be that visable.

Certainly not suggesting the current one is not good enough CJS, as I quite liked it. However, I just think it needs a 'spring clean' to freshen the place up a tad <ok> Some more colour wouldn't go amiss :)

im not suggesting you are saying its not good enough <ok>
if anyone on our board has ideas about things to move us forward and keep things fresh and flowing then im all for it but its fair that the board get to have a say if they want change or not as this board is for all gasheads and if anyone wants a change then it be good for them to also put ideas down for what they would like instead of the current. just like we done when we got the current banner <ok>

i have sent a message to blackcatsteve to see if he would be available to help us with a new banner if majority wants change, as he done the one we currently have.

in meantime if anyone wants to keep the one we have then say keep and if anyone wants a change then say what ideas and changes you like to see. this doesnt have to be just about a banner by the way.

can change mod: if anyone thinks i shouldnt be a mod for any reason then i be happy to stand down and let someone else take over. i wouldnt hold a grudge and i would respect whatever mod took over <ok> i dont really do anything anyway!

can change the direction of the board: me and YOBG basically has a 'anything goes' policy. we let all threads just flow in what ever direction it takes. pretty much all of us gasheads loves to wum and banter and every thread starts off as this and pretty much normal threads turns into banter threads. sometimes we start it bantering with each other, or the tinpots starts it or some of the 82ers to pop on our board and start it. i had 1 complaint before that AJ was cocking up every thread and i then asked AJ to stop and he calmed it. i havent had any other complaints about the flow of things and im sure YOBG hasnt either so i guess all are happy as it is. but if anyone wants the board to do or have other things and go in a different direction then we can.

this is our home. i presume everyone would like to improve their home. if anyone wants to improve this home and has ideas to how we can improve it and freshen and liven it up then please tell us. can PM me or YOBG or do a thread. what would be great is to get many more of us on here. ask your friends to join up. i recently found puregas, spikelloydy and pride from the bbc606 and they signed up. gone missing again but maybe the way are board is, is stopping people joining or coming back. so im up for change but its all of your board and its up to you all how you want this board run and what direction you want it run and how you want to improve it <ok>
 
Could definately do with more posters. I got gasheadseamge to join, and another friend who has used this place once and ****ed off again <laugh> I dont have any other friends to ask <wah>
 
to get more posters do you and everyone else think we need to change anything on our board in anyway to get people to join and remain active or are you all happy as it currently is?
 
Cjs, love the site the way it is, but agree we could do with more posters. I don't believe its down to the content of the board but more that people are just not aware.

As far as the banner is concerned what about looking to the future and use one of the pictures of the UWE stadium, failing that we could put up the Championship league showing the 82ers going down:grin:<ok>

Would love to put the new UWE stadium up, but we risk looking like idiots if it doesnt go through lol

what ways can we get people aware to join up? and then the key is to get them to STAY active?
improve the content?
stay more active ourselves so those who do join wont get bored due to nothing happening?
make more threads so that people can comment on? i remember when on bbc that we use to have lots of active threads all on the go the same time which keeps things busy!

im just throwing ideas here <ok>
 
Agree, but you know me CJS, any oppertunity to have a dig at the 82ers as i know that Wize will be having a look but cant post. He must be pulling his hair out.
