If by some miracle we do actually get taken over The Blue Knights? - who "will make a bid this week" interest from America? (wish they would release names ffs) interest from the Far East? (again names please) Brian Kennedy? who says he will only table a bid if the Blue Knights fail
I would have preferred if I'd just have said something, ANYTHING, to the authorities and saved some young bhoys bum cherrys.
Since we know very little about any of the bids, it's impossible to say at this stage. The Blue Knights are the most vocal about their activities, but most of them are connected with the previous regime. Would they have the necessary vision to reinvigorate the club, and wouldn't they be banned from running the club anyway because of their association with the club's descent into admin? Brian Kennedy will make a bid but will happily step aside if there's a better offer on the table. He seems like a decent bloke, but does he have the necessary financial muscle to get us out of trouble? He has an estimated fortune of £250million, but I can't see him sinking £80million of that into the club to cover our worst case scenario. I don't know if he has any other backers behind him. There's virtually nothing publicly known about any of the other interested parties. I guess we should know more by Friday which is the deadline for bids.
Brian Kennedy: "I don't really want to buy the club, but don't want to see them die." Doesn't sound very convincing, does it? Poor Gambol.
Rumour is that the American interest is from a New York based company with a value of $27 billion (take with a massive pich of salt) Singapore bid being fronted by a rich Asian Glaswegian, can't remember his name. Both just rumours just now. As for the Blue Knights, they are doing the exact same as Whyte but being up front about it. None of them making investment, just pledges on money that is being fronted by Ticketus. If we go with them we could end up being in debt to the tune of £50 million to ticketus. **** that.
Thought all the media were against Rangers ?? All this good news for a team that could be in Scottish div 3 next season . The American bid !!! Learn from your mistakes , Craig Whyte anyone
