But the real question is why the hell are they in the bottom 3?! Reminds me of us in the Prem. United? Piece of piss. Oh god, not Wigan!
The chasing pack busily knocking lumps off of each other, that will do nicely, now Millwall, can we fix it?
The one thing that is certain after tonight is that it is in our hands now. Match Readings results and whatever West Ham do we're home and dry.
COYR. Still worried about Milwall on saturday. But this takes some of the pressure off slightly. (VERY slightly)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the first time since the end of October that a day has ended with one of Southampton/West Ham outside the top two? The dashed line has been breached...where there was order, there is now chaos.
You're not miles out, Schad. I've had a look at the full table graphs on the BBC Football website, and WHU went upto 3rd on August 15th, then they dropped back a wee bit. By Oct 17th they were back to 2nd, where apart from our blip, which saw them take the lead for 3 weeks, they've stayed until now. That full Beeb table is brilliant.
Gentlemen. I have upset and irritated a few on here - But I am a proud West Ham fan and sometimes I say daft things to provoke a reaction. I see it as part of the fun of being a football fan. No real offence intended. But Reading took a hit tonight and that is a good thing for both of our great clubs. Despite the amount of dislike towards us from various sections of your support, I still hope that we finish in the top 2 with you. You certainly deserve to go up. I don't know the figures but it seems to me like you must have spent arouund 3/4's of the season in 1st place. Our football might be a little primitive at times (although not as bad as many make out) but I do feel we have consistently delivered results and deserve a place in the top two aswell. Good luck for the rest of the season. it is going to be fascinating to watch. I still have belief that we will finish as champions but 1st or second - i will be happy. COYI.
Let's compare... Reading: Won 20 - Drawn 7 - Lost 9 West Ham: Won 19 - Drawn 9 - Lost 7 Alright you have a game in hand but you really haven't been much more consistent than Reading. (considering you win the game in hand)
Goodness me trixter, how could anybody so erudite as you and with such a mellifluous prose style irritate his readers?
Trixter,i have no problems with your posts, they are good banter, which is what being a footy fan is all about. And it is so satisfying giving you some back when things dont quite go as you planned.( ie"that is how to win away"). Great result tonight, plus it knocks another nail in the Skates coffin, just a pity that Forest never won.
Maybe you didn't detect the bridge building tone of my post Sir. By that token, you haven't exactly been much more consistent either. But I would say that, if at the end of the season, West Ham and Southampton finish in the top 2, few could say that we deserve it. Thanks for the reply.
Yes they have. Reading won 8 on the bounce before today. West Ham have been more consistent and there is no argument about it. This is their first time out top 2 in a very long time
