Am i the only one who is yet to be impressed with Sess????

Everyone keeps saing he is skillfull and it's great to have a player like that in the team, but from everything that i have seen he lacks strength and just seems to bumble around with the ball.....Like Buzz Lightyear...just falling with style

    Help me out here please!!

I'm still not sure about him but my gut feeling is that with a good pre-season we'll see what Brucie sees in him;at present with the injury situation he only needs to turn up to get a game.

no mate your not alone there, while he does show it in small spurts, seems to go missing a lot, no doubt he's got skill, but impressed? not, but time will tell,

I think out of the 2 Muntari has brought a little more to our game in the middle......the odd searching pass...but you would expect more from him already having premier experience so hard to compare

dont think anyone knows just where sess should play, when we bought him bruce said he can play left, centre or right, maybe thats half the lads problem, dont know where he plays in training, like i said im not impressed so far, but like with jordan i have some faith in the lad

You have a point Dazzla, Good post.....But IMHO, it's still early doors.
Other than the Championship, The premier league is the toughest league to apply your trade when you are not use to the pace or physical side of the Beautiful game. We’ve also had some tough games of late.

    Jury still out!

He needs to establish a position, he is good on the wings yet we seem to play him more central and it doesnt seem to work. Instead we played steed no pace on the wing (why?) and Welbeck on the other wing which wasnt working

Everybody gives overseas players time to settle but not Sess it seems, I rate him hes being played out of position in a new league with strangers who he has not had time to build up an understanding give him time. Decided when he has had a chance to gel

i think the fact that the whole team has been gash for a few weeks isnt helping the lad, and to be fair hes been involved in most of the good football weve played since he arrived

but i do think he makes us narrower than we already are at times

He's shown he can take the ball past defenders, as he did on several occasions yesterday. His final ball? There was no one in the box to give it to. I'd like to see how he does with two up front, Gyan and Wellbeck or Gyan and Campbell.

Sess - flashes of brilliance, but overall - simply not good enough.

    Hope he proves me wrong.

The problem Sess has from what I can see is there is very little running off the ball.
If he is carrying the ball the defenders can all just gang up on him as they have nothing else to worry about.
IT's not just the ball carrier the defence needs to worry about it's the runners.
Henderson and Richardson are just not up to it, Richardson only seems to run as an after thought!
Gyan is running his socks off trying to make himself available and the ball isn't getting to him.
Football is a team game and we aren't playing like a team.
