Is that so, perhaps you can tell me your European trophy count to ours?........sorry ! can't hear you! :D.....no answer?....., anyway, its good to see you're over your 8-2 drubbing (heaviest defeat of anyone this season).

Not quite every single area is it, I could go on, but you're bit of a clueless ranty bore from South London, always larging it about your Johnny Come Lately exploits. You keep it sunshine, I'll support a team thats where it is on its merits. You bought your way into the league in the first place and bought your late success (except European of course!:D), now shut up Goonboy. <doh>

Something to be said for going out of all competitions again then?

  5. The Gunners have been an embarrassment on the European stage for so many years. They are the standing joke of Europe - always qualifying for it, never winning it. Never with a hope of winning it, and always getting slaughtered by class Italian or Spanish opposition. I doubt any English man will forget that debacle against Barcelona for quite some time, as it was perhaps the blackest day in English football. The day after that match, I pretended I was Scottish.

In some ways, I'll be a little unhappy if Arsenal don't make 4th this season, because then I'll miss the spectacle of them being drubbed out of it, before the quarter finals.

    What a load of bollocks.

At least Arsenal have managed to be an ever present in the CL as we know it, unlike yourselves who weren't able to sustain a campaign on two fronts.

    Well done on matching Everton<doh>

    Great comeback <laugh> <doh>

Most fans admit you are too dependant on him and his cover is quite frankly sh*t. Luckily you havent needed to replace him and he has single handidly saved your season - fair play to him <applause>

We've won trophies since then, if you hadn't noticed. In fact, we've won a trophy far more recently than you have.

I think the problem for all Premiership clubs this season in the CL has been defence. It seems to almost be a forgotten art in the premiership nowadays. If you have a good attacking set - up you can get away with that in the Prem. however, once you go into Europe, if you can't defend competently - you're dead!! Just look at what's happened to all of ours teams in Europe recently.

You've attempted to counter HIAG's claim that Arsenal have been poor in Europe by pointing out that they've done well domestically, SW6.

As for van Persie not being extremely important to Arsenal's goal tally, in the calendar year of 2011 he got 42 goals in all competitions for his club.
The next highest scorer was Theo Walcott with 8.
The Dutchman outscored the next 10 players below him on the list combined.
They were the aforementioned Walcott, plus Arshavin, Bendtner, Gervinho, Arteta, Vermaelen, Ramsey, Nasri, Benayoun and Fabregas.

  13. You came up with a crap argument, though.

That you are sometimes enraged by my carefully-crafted, well-tempted, and expertly-honed arguments is neither here nor there, SW6.

But, be that as it may - and, as I said before - welcome to our board, where you have the freedom to voice an alternative opinion without fear of being banned, even if your opinion has no relevance to what is being argued <ok>

Fair play to MNS for wumming his own board, because there's no way any of us would get away with posting something like that.

Good grief, they have only scored 30 goals in 28 games, thought that was hyperbole!

I don't understand the 'take away RvP's goals and where would you be' argument, it's just moronic. If we didn't have RvP but another player are you honestly saying that they would score 0 goals?

Of course they wouldn't be as prolific but they'd score lots of goals, the reason being because the way we play, we will always rely on the CF, and they will score a lot more than the rest of our team.

But 10 less goals, could mean 6 or 7 less points and then you are competing with Everton or Liverpool. Not sure what your point is?
