I think that our summer transfer will depend heavily upon whether QPR stay in the Prem or not. Warnock will undoubtedly be looking to some of the players that he has trusted to get promotion with him before and if QPR stay up they will probably spend again making some of these players available (Hill, Derry, Mackie etc.). If they go down these players may not be available to come to us... so come on Hughes keep your team up you useless twit.
Morning all. The way the team are playing at the moment, I doubt there'll be too many incomings. A RB to challenge Connelly certainly. Not sure we'll be getting in any new CBs, eespecially as O'Dea seems to have got his ar%e in gear. Maybe someone to challenge Brown/Clayton as DM enforcer. In the past, it might have been Derry. But how old is he now? Is hea really going to challenge Brown? Not sure. Also, the circumstances surrounding his departure would make it difficult for some fans to accept him back.
Boggers you do know Brown is older dont you? derry is 34 brown is 35, id sign have them both and alternate. Hopefully Warnock will get rid of all the absolute **** signed by grayson, renew contracts of our top boys and bring in 3/4 first team players and 3/4 squad players.
Defensively I think he'll bring in a RB, CB and Robinson, then a central midfielder to challenge Clayton, a winger with some serious pace (if White goes) and maybe another forward as competition for Becchio. Also think he'll bring in a keeper, but not sure if he'll intend him to be back up or first choice. I think most of the squad will go to be honest, we need a big clear out!
QPR made a loss of £70M in the seasons 2009/10 to 2010/11. £35m loss a season for a Championship club is scandalous - for that reason, I hope they go down. Also - no way Leeds could afford the wages of any of those. Correction - no way Bates would pay the wages of any of those
Did we? How the **** did we manage that We probably spent about 10M And those players aren't on too high wages, cos they were signed last year, when our owners were even worse than Bates
Didn't know McCormack, Gradel, Brown, Clayton, Lonergan ect was ****.............and renewing contracts is Harvey department or atleast it was when Grayson was here.
They're not. Bruce, Rachubka, O'Brien, Bromby, Vayrynen, Forssell, Paynter, Sam and Nunez, however, are. Granted some of them haven't been given regular chances (Bromby, Sam, Nunez) and others have been good in patches, (Bruce, O'Brien) but none of them have really been particularly good, bar maybe Sam.
I'd say out of them only Rachubka and Paynter have been proper flops, and let's face it, they were probably all 3rd or 4th choice signings anyway.
I guess, but why waste wages on Vayrynen and Forssell if they're not good enough or not going to play? Bruce is overrated, O'Brien started off good and got progressively worse. Sam is too injury prone, and although I like Nunez as a player, he's not suited to us or english football. Shame, but that's the way it seems. Still think sometimes it would've been better to keep the money than even try and go after some of the crap we sign!
Just seen your reply YWBK. No I wasn't aware Derry is younger than Brown. Still think I'll settle for Brown, with someone much younger coming in to provide competition
