morning all, well that was ****e.
not gonna harp on about the game to much we got beat by a better team and shows how far we still have to go.
liverpool suarez kuyt carroll combined value of about 75 mill v safc gyan and a young lad with potential value of maybe 20 mill.

but over the last few weeks many have been stating that they hope bruce sighs all of our loan players as they are the ones to fire us into europe next year, wondering if you all still feel the same way, (this is not a reaction to yesterdays game, as ned didn't even play)
ive state many times im not a fan of muntari, and wouldn't take mensah, ned maybe, and yes to wellbeck but only as long as he isn't going to get in the way of sighning a top forward.
so do you stand by our loanee's as the ones to move us forward or are some starting to have doubts about some?
    chin up lads

I am a great fan of Mensah but I'm beginning to have some doubts and Muntari has been a big disappointment;he's nowwhere as good as when I watched him at Portsmouth.I'd definitely sign Ned and I agree with you about Welbeck.
Sitting where we are in the League is not the end of the world but it could be better.

think the key to the ned thing mate is if we sign him as a c/b as apparently thats his best position, then maybe hutton as r/b.
also yes to elmo, but thats sorted

I would sign them all, you can't judge any of the loanee's on yesterdays performance, the whole team didn't perform not just the loan players.

Mensah made a couple of costly mistakes but overall he kept Carroll and Saurez pretty quiet.

Muntarli looked comfortable until he got injured.

Wellbeck looked lively but was clearly not fully fit which showed in the second half.

Elmo got down the right wing and created some problems but the game was over as a contest when he came on but he showed more bottle than Henderson did IMO.

We were desperate for a decent forward to play alongside Gyan yesterday, the lone striker thing isn't working and teams are finding it all to easy to defend against. The plan would have been for Ricco to provide support but he got injured early on and there was no real impact from any of our mid-fielders after that.

I'd say we are 3 players away from having a very good team, a team that can consistently challenge for top 10 positions.

i know what you mean mate, but forget yesterday, do you think the 3 players your thinking off to take us to the next level can come from the loan players we have now?
im sat watching the mags game again (to cheer up) and watching jermaine pennant ripping them apart and thinking maybe its someone similar to this what were missing, he's lively, a good crosser and not afraid to get stuck in.

We were linked with Pennant under Keano's reign but he went abroad before returning to Stoke. He's not for me i'm afraid as he's very inconsistent. On his day he's a decent player, like you mentioned can be very lively but his "days" are few and far between, bit like KJ.

I'd be happy if we signed our loan players but we also need another 3 at least this summer.

Ideally, one of these signings MUST be a dead ball specialist

Charlie Adams is the ideal player then

I'd love to see Charlie Adams at the club, but as you say, half the world is after him. I read in the paper today that Liverpool is his preferred choice :( Blackpool are going to make one hell of a profit on the sale after buying him for silly money; how much was it? £400-500k?
