daniel levy is rumoured to give Harry £50m to spend on new players to ward off england apparently. there will be a clear out of some players.

this might strengthen our position wrt Naughton, if is clearing out some players. Any thoughts?

also, £50m is a lot of money to put in a brown paper bag..
 
That brown paper bag would be hard to miss!

If this is true then yes, I think the chances of signing naughton is increased.
 
Why would Levy go public and advertise a £50M war chest ? I just don't get it, all it does is inflate the price of any potential targets as they will know that Spurtz are minted. Surely it would have been better for him to tell 'Arry in strict confidence ? What a plum <doh>

obviously we r getting £50 million for Holty deal! lol obviously plus Bale and Naughton with Holty on a "POSH" loanback for 2 years to allow us to find anyone 25% as good as our wonder skipper!
