Now, many people believe that cover for David Fox is essential this summer and maybe improvement on him, so i was thinking we may have that option already under our belts.

    Korey Smith

When we sent him on loan to barnsley i was of the belief that this was a terrific deal for all parties concerned, and how i was proved right. Korey is getting plenty of game time which is really good news for norwich as hes not there warming the bench and wasting is time. Hes young, his attitude his superb and has never done anything wrong, just been a little unfortunate with injuries last season and this season which has hamperd his progression within the first team. After reading various reports on his loan spell so far he seems to be really impressing at oakwell and the other day was saying that next season he wants to come back to us and try and force his way into the first XI.

Some players go out on loan and it seems to kick start there career and never look back and i believe korey really has the oppertunity to make a name for himself at our club if we give him the chance <ok>

    Thoughts guys??

Totally agree. Have heard some great feedback about him from a couple of Barnsley fans. Looks like he's already managed three or four assists

Korey has a lot of potential. He's been unlucky to not get much game time. However, Lambert rates him, and i'm sure he'll get an opportunity. He's still quite young.

I think Korey is good but he's not like David Fox. Korey Smith is an extremely well balanced midfielders good at defending, passing shooting, pacey in equal measure. He definatley has a future with us, but he's not a cover for Fox.

agree with DM - more similar in style to crofts i'd say. harsh perhaps but i'd rather have korey than johnson and crofts to be honest. i think he has more potential than both of them.

Lets temper the reports with the realism that he is playing in the Championship. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than the team to be full of home grown players. But we will need to improve the squad for next season and I'm not convinced Korey will actually improve it. The same with Chris Martin. Decent player home grown but probably reached his potential in the Championship. And the Championship shouldn't be dismissed, its a good standard and players make a good living.

I think a new rule should be introduced that all text should be no smaller than this for the sake of dave's eyes.

How many people said that about Holt, Surman and Ruddy?

tend to agree with this, certainly with regards chrissy martin. korey smith is a bit younger and may still grow as a player but i'm not convinced martin will now. he is a talent but isn't going to be good enough for where we are striving to be. korey is worth keeping at least for now but i think martin's days are numbered.
