Booed by the fans at half-time, when he made subs and at full-time. After the game he says: "If we had Rickie Lambert we would of won the league weeks ago." A little dig at Saints? Poor old Sam, spent all that money, has 10 strikers and none are as good as Rickie...but that's not easy to be. DTLW
Trouble is with all those strikers none of the suit his style play, he need Kevin Davis to lump the ball up to and feed of the scraps like he did at Bolton HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF!
In other news, if they had Adkins, and Lallana and Cork and Schneiderlin and Do Prado and Sharp and Richardso and Fonte and Hooiveld and Fox and Davis... ...they'd be Southampton, and top of the league.
Don't think praising Lambert is a dig at Saints...as someone said, more of a dig at his players. Can't imagine Nigel saying anything like that, can you?
How the hell is having a dig at Saints, what he is saying if you do not understand is we create enough chances to win most games but our strikers are not up to it (not 0ne of them has scored 10 goals this season), but if we had Rickie Lambert who has scored 25 goals this season we would be top which is friggin obvious, so stop slagging people off mr perfect and try to listen to all his comments and not pick out the ones you want other people to hear, All the best, Brooking
Saying that with Lambert they'd have won the league by now is a bit like saying if we'd beaten Leicester, Doncaster and Bristol city we'd have 9 more points and be 10 points clear! Big Sam stating the obvious here.
Morning Brooking Not many of us have much time for Big Sam on here but judging by some of the comments I've heard and the boos neither do West Ham fans! Hoof!!
My manager abd team leader are hammers fans . They are prepared to put up with big Sam as long as he gets them promoted , but they hate his style of play and cannot wait to see the back of him .
personally i think allardyce was complimenting lambert and critising his players for noy being as ruthless as they should be cant see a problem with that, some people on here are far to ready to have a pop at either sam or other visitors on site rather than discuss a subject hence its called a forum ,i get tired of reading snide comments rather than sensible debate,,
Yeah, I don't think that it's a jab at Southampton...he's merely saying that they have a strong squad (true) that has lacked for finishing (true), and if they swapped in the best striker in the Championship for their current crop they'd be well and truly clear (also true). Don't see much wrong with that; if someone said that we'd be outside the playoffs without Lambert, I'd find it difficult to disagree. He has been immense.
Not sure why I put Saints, was meant to be "strikers". Too early to start an article is 07:55, in future I will wake up properly beforehand.
I am sure he said "... we would have won... " His team is currently second in the Championship, I am sure he must be doing something right?
