I think Harding wasn't at fault for the goal at all. However i will still say that he was utter rubbish going forward. He cannot cross a ball and lost the 50/50 challenges far too often. Makes you realize how key Fox is when he is missing.
I've honestly never seen him have a good game. He is quite a shocking player, scary in fact. Because he was ****e?
Fox is out for the season according to people around me Hooiveld was at fault for the goal from what I saw, not Harding - he gets unfairly critcised for mistakes that if it was Saint Fox he wouldn't
No. Now is not the time for untested youngsters, as much as I rate Shaw, Harding is fine in the run in
There is no way to know that Fox is out of the season. If he is then we will miss him so badly but let's get behind Harding to boost the lads confidence.
I just don't get why the fans have to have a scapegoat? Puncheon, Guly, Harding? All vilifed by the fans for doing hardly anything wrong mostly. Why can't we support them all? They all play for our favourtie club, let's support them and boost them
are you kidding? jos let him inside, wha awful defending from him it deflected off of harding but if anyone is going to blame him for that, they've never played i defence before. harding was awful and our worst player today but he wasnt at fault for the goal
And there you go. Look, I don't want to go negative on Fox, but he isn't the be-all-and-end-all. Defensively, he occasionally isn't that brilliant, IMO. If people think he'll do for the PL without any coaching then think again. He may be better in his delivery than Harding, but as a tackling back defender, I reckon there's little in it. One can't be s**t and the other one superb. They're nowhere like that far apart. Granted, Fox is superior overall, but let's not fall into the football supporters scale of measuring, eh..? eg either rubbish or brilliant, with nothing in between.
Harding was pony tonight, Richardson wasn't much better to be honest. I always thought Ryan Dickson was a decent player, and was great in our run-in last season. If Fox is going to be out for a while then why not recall him from Orient? That's if we're allowed of course Lets not focus on the negatives though: Lallana is back to his best, Lambert can't stop scoring, De Ridder made an impact when he came on and Tadanari Lee is a cult hero in the making
I think Fox can be a great LB,but he isn't playing at his full potential. He hoofs the ball up way too often(normally when he doesn't have to) and plays around with the ball when he shouldn't. He has got great technique and skill,a sweet left foot. Why does he stand off players aswell?
It's weird, as Hardings strength is Fox's weakness and vice versa so whoever we play, are completely different LBs in how they play
I'm here! Sorry, but Harding has not got worse this season. He has always been this bad, as I have always said. The difference could be that the level of opposition is better this season, so his lack of ability becomes more evident (I appreciate that not everyone studies Harding's game enough during matches to really realise how poor he is), or maybe it could be that Fox has come along and has shown how good a LB can be (although even Fox is by no means the best LB in the world). That said though, I will defend him over Ipswich's goal. It was Hooiveld's fault.
I liked Dan in League 1 but last night he was shocking. Summed it up when the ball was lofted up in the air and he somehow f*cked up his touch with so much time, allowing Chopra through before be brought him down at 1-1. He must have the weakest kick ever too. So powerpuff.
Even if Dickson did come back (which I don't think he can) he wouldn't be able to play for us as he has already played for 2 teams in league competitions this term in the form of Yeovil & Leyton Orient. Are there any decent left backs out there that we could loan in perhaps? I can't think of any off the top of my head but if Fox is going to be out a long time then I think it'd be worth Adkins considering. P.S. I'm not even going to comment on Harding and his performance last night or else I may go grey.
I'm not sure if this rule still remains. I say that because I'm certain that I've come across one or two players this season who have played for three different clubs this season. I'm trying to rack my brains for who I'm thinking of, but no-one's coming to mind. It may be that I'm slightly wrong, and who I'm thinking of hasn't actually played a league game for all three (for example, I'm pretty sure that Andros Townsend and Adam Smith both have not featured in the league with Spurs). I'll keep on thinking...
