He canny. Don't want him or Paul Murray anywhere near the club. Seems Murray is distancing himself from King by responding that Rangers were not certain for liquidation.

Yep, If I was a Gers fan I would not want any of these two anywhere near Ibrox, they were Directors under Murray and should take some of the blame for the mess he left you in, I suspect the SFA will agree with me.

I'm starting to think Duff and Phelps got their qualifications in Administration from some University in India or by post from the USA, these ****s don't have a ****ing clue.

It's now the afternoon of day 22 and what savings have they made? Did they force Smith and Russell out or did they leave under their own steam? Wylde left of his own accord. Celik likewise.

Meanwhile they're earning at least £30,000 per week plus expenses and still no decision on player's futures. Not one member of the background staff made redundant.

What the hell is going on?

Previous titles
I have noted the recent media comment about Rangers being stripped of previously earned titles. While this makes good headlines, I am absolutely confident (now that I have a good sense of the true position) that this will not happen.

What is he basing his opinion on?

I would imagine he is basing it on more than you base yours on <ok>

Why do you doubt it? Do you talk to the SFA, or anyone that would have information on this?
You don't? There's a surprise

I think Neil Doncaster knows more about the rules and the punishments than Dave King and i'm basing my opinion on what Doncaster says. He has refused to rule out the possibility, so what does King know that Doncaster does not? <doh>

Deal rejected by players. Friday deadline. D&P the most toothless admins in history.

There is a chance Rangers will not be stripped of their titles. It depends on how much weight their own great Campbell Og carries
at Football Headquarters. Now if you believe Mr. Regan, he says none. He claims that Campbell Og has been asked to step aside.
I have no reason to not believe Regan, so it doesn't look good for Rangers.

It took a lot of hard work by Peter Lawwell to minimise the control and influence Rangers have had at the top of Scottish Football.
If this situation had happened even ten years ago Rangers would have walked away with a mild rebuke.

Sorry, didn't know you have talked to Neil Doncaster about stripping Rangers of titles <doh>

Latest statement:

Duff & Phelps, the Administrators of Rangers Football Club, today issued the following statement.

David Whitehouse, Joint Administrator, said: "We are announcing today we are accelerating the sale of Rangers Football Club.

"The Club is in a perilous financial situation and that should not be under-estimated. Regrettably, we have been unable to agree cost-cutting measures with the playing staff on terms that will preserve value in the business. We understand the players' position as the scale of wage cuts required to achieve these savings without job losses were very substantial indeed.

"In view of this, we are faced with a situation of making redundancies within the playing staff on such a scale that would materially erode the value of the playing squad. We are striving to strike a balance where cost-cutting measures can be implemented but do not destroy the fabric of the playing squad to the extent that it will inhibit the prospect of a sale.

"However, no one should be in any doubt that in the absence of sufficient cost-cutting measures or receipt of substantial unplanned income, the Club will not be able to fulfil its fixtures throughout the remainder of the season.

"As a result, we are expediting the sale process and over the next few days we will be holding discussions with prospective purchasers who have declared their interest. The Manager, Ally McCoist will play an integral part in these discussions.

"If however it becomes apparent that the sale process cannot be accelerated there will be no choice but to implement very severe cost cutting measures at the Club."
