Top of the league and only 23,000 there tonight. Well done to those who went, **** off to those who just couldn't be arsed.

(yes some have valid reasons, due to geography, money, work, whatever, but there are many plastics who sit on the internet, live local, will turn out for the pompey game and last home game of the season who really can't call themselves Saints fans, they are lightweights)

Also have to say, after Ipswich scored, what did many of the Northam "lads" do? They ****ed off home. Pathetic.

We really are in no position to take the piss out of the skates support. At least they mostly stay to the end.

You take your own sweet time mate. Nobody has to account for their lack of attendance.

    <ok>

CBK why do you give a **** who's there and who's not? Would you complain if you supported a team with a lower fan base? Probably not.

tbh i thought are fans were poor because they moaned so damn much... dominating a team and it sounds like we are 4 nil down. Was less moaning 4 years ago when we were at the bottom of the championship

The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov and I were there CBK cheering on our boys.

What I particularly enjoyed this evening was that the blokes behind me who are usually on Gully's back from kick off were singing his praises this evening.

My main gripe is the early leavers! honestly it's 1 - 1 in the 86th minute and everyone decides to leave! it is pathetic and fecking annoying! Yes i'm aware that some people have to get transport or need to work or so on and so on but not everyone has that reason. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Our fans are so fickle. There is a guy behind me that every game is moaning. Against Derby even 3-0 up he was moaning at every "wrong pass". He does my head in. We should get behind the lads, which most fans thankfully do! COYR

I always clap everyone off at the end.

And I have lost my voice tonight from shouting.

Doesn't mean that I am any more of a fan than people listening to it on the radio etc. get off your f***ing high horse mate

These high horses appear every now and again. I am on a long journey home, but don;t have to be in work tomorrow. Lots of Saints fans travel and do have to be in work. I just get so annoyed by the plastic jibe. Fans get to the games they can. End of.

Most disappointing thing for me was the guy next to me in the Northam shouting racist remarks at Guly. I'm not one of these left-wing do-gooders at all (far from it), and I'm most definitely not a Guly fan, but to shout racist abuse at a guy (let alone one of our own players!) because you don't like him as a football player is disgraceful. Total n*bhead, opting for the Kingsland next time.

And I didn't think 23,000 was too bad for a Tuesday night game, chill out OP.

Should have reported it to the stewards, shocking abuse of one of our own players. Why does Guly get the abuse he does? He is one of the top ten scorers in the league! Yeah he maybe frustrating but its not a bad return for the guy.

23,000 is indeed a decent turn out for a Tuesday, we could be Middlesbrough. Only Derby had a higher attendance; but there again, they do give away season tickets with mobile phone contracts.

I've just thought. why don't I turn over my entire house to orphans for free, and rent a seat [that is buy a season ticket, and live there] so that I don't miss a single home match. Then when work comes a calling, I can give it the heave-ho, because I am far too busy being extremely smelly, but dedicated to my beloved Saints.

It's an old topic CBK, let it go. Most of us have put our time in, at some point.

    And Goodnight.

I was also disappointed with this. Lots of fans left before the final whistle. We were drawing 1-1 and still in it. people where leaving with 5 mins left of normal time!! Call your self fans i think not!

I was also slightly disappointed by 23,000. Where have the fans gone from the bristol city and palace games? we got over 30,000 those games.
