We can't burn him out !

Everyone can see he brings the team to another level, much like lallana, but we need to think what we are doing with him, especially with the busy april period coming up.

It is vital that we get promotion however so he needs to be playing most of our games. I mean N'Guesson is just awful, his attitude stinks, and Forte has barley featured and doesnt look set to stamp a mark on his first team place like he said in his interview when he arrived at the club. Pretty dissapointing signings.

Another decent winger is needed here !

How can you comment on N'Guesson and Forte they have appeared in less than 10 games between them! And have only come off the bench. Give them time to settle in and then comment on them!!!

They've appeared in less than 5 games between them... <doh>

1 start in fact. Forte was injured and N'Guessen wasn't fully fit either. Not sure how (OP) you can say N'Guessen's attitude "stinks" unless you know him personally/are around the training ground on a regular basis. And I will stop there as it winds me up when people criticise these players (including abuse at games). I would also argue that Chamberlain is not necessarily a key player (ie Lallana/Fonte standard) for us at this time, but that's a personal opinion I guess.

chamberlain had two good runs today, other than that was quiet and disappointing. I'm wondering whether with him playing for the under 19's soon as well, he might be over played and slightly fatigued? He is only young still.

However I also think DN'G and JForte are poor signings. No we're not gonna break our transfer record in league one. No we are not gonna get messi, but still, for a club like us, we should be bringing in better players. Fair enough they haven't had much of a chance, and are only back up players, but at the moment they dont cut it.

Anyway, shouldn't be negative, just had a massive 2-0 win and will be going to Charlton hoping for more of the same!

Yeah He is a top quality player, Soton seems to have that luck that they get a few gems Like in recent years Walcott and Bale and now you have Chamberlain who is the next top quality player to have come through your acedemy.
It will be very tough to keep hold of him, But I think it is in the best interest of him to stay for at least one more season to get some more experience so that if he left he may get in there squad quicker, and it would also be good for the club as you would proberly get more money.

I don't we need worry about Burning out Alex. Our manager is an ex-physio!! Once games have been won, he is often substituted for the last 10 minutes. Regarding N'Guessen, he was grim in the one game I saw him, but Forte looked promising, pace to burn and just likely to draw a penalty in the last 15 minutes from tired defenders.

Did you notice that when Lambo scored he ran over to Guly and Forte on the touchline to share the moment, they both had beaming smiles and were enjoying the moment, they seem to accept that they are part of the team.

I don't understand the criticism of Forte. He has made about 3 substitute appearances and we've probably seen him for about 40 minutes in total, if that. He has looked promising to me when he has come on. Looks to have a lot of pace but just needs a bit of confidence. We haven't seen much of N'Guessan either. Admittedly he hasn't looked good in the last few games he has played but he was very good on his debut against Exeter

Forte may yet bring something to the team. N'Guessan is on loan and struggling to get into a winning side. Arguing with NA and storming down the tunnel in a previous match may indicate passion or petulance. Not a good way to get yourself picked though. I also enjoyed Lambert rushing to Guly and Forte after goal..speaks of a happy team. Good to see Guly back..options up front now Barnard also hitting form.

okay, maybe i was a bit too quick to slate Forte, he did look like he has a lot of energy to offer but i don't think he would offer enough as to start a game and be consistant, but like a lot of people have said, a fantastic bench warmer ready to come on and cause trouble.

N'Guesson on the other hand, i only said he had a bad attitude in the way he shouted at Adkins, the manager should be respected. If he impresses in the next few games, i shall eat my words.
