Nice to see people getting on Puncheons back again! One bad half against Leeds and people think he's the same old Puncheon! Give him a chance!!!

Indeed. Punch did have a terrible half though. One moment he nutmegs a player, then takes too heavy a touch and looses the ball. A player for when we are on the front foot perhaps? The difference with Lallana is that he always wants the ball, and is a real battler when he needs to be. Having Chaplow back is great, because he will also compete everywhere.

Falque may not get another chance, too much at stake, and every one back fit. If, and a big IF we are in a position where we can relax (now wouldn't that be nice) then he may feature, but then it may be more fringe players and longer term squad players that would get a run.

It just relieves the undeserved criticism of Guly. Everyone appears to need a scapegoat.

I seriously wasn't impressed with him against Leicester, but hell that was only one match. And only 45 minutes at that. It's unfair to judge him just on that. And besides, the whole team was dreadful that game.

But I don't see how on earth he would get into the squad, save for injuries or suspensions. I'd say that De Ridder is ahead of him in the pecking order (even more so considering that De Ridder is one of own), and he too can't get a look in at the moment. It's unfortunate on them, but that's football. If we didn't have players missing out on the matchday 16, then we'd be asking seriously questioning about the depth of our squad, so I much prefer it being this way around.

i think de ridder can do a job for us, he has some skill & pace to offer, when he come on @ reading when we was a man down he changed the pace of the game, and scored! that on it's own could be a vital point come end of the season, i'd have him start over punch any day of the week

Skill, questionable, there are lot's of 'skills' in football. Pace, yes. Other than pace and the occasional turn, he brings nothing to the table i'm afraid. Hence why he hasn't been anywhere near the first team for weeks.

You can tell from videos of him at De Graafschap that he has a hell of a shot on him. If he can learn a thing or two about the style of football in this country then I see no reason why he can't be useful in the future.

On the original point, I don't see why Falque is here, and I didn't really understand at the time of his signing either.

I think Falque was sent here as a sort of finishing school to prepare him for what is to come, probably wouldn't get the needful attention at WHL.

Lets face it we may need everyone in the squad in the next couple of months if we get a run of injuries or suspensions so lets not dismiss any player at the moment as they are the one who may come on as a sub and tap in the late goal that sends us up - stranger things have happened in football - remember Forte vs MK Dons?
Lets get behind everyone wearing the stripes

It's taken him 6 months so far and he's failed. Being used to English football has nothing to do with his diabolical passing, crossing, vision or decision making. He is not good enough to play for us. FFS he played a massive part in Friis-Hansen being sacked.
