Briatore is shocking... a complete tit. According to QPR fans though it's quite tame compared to what happened in total. Adhoc left out quite a bit apparently.
That was one of the most interesting things I've seen surrounding football. To get a behind the scenes view was eye opening, as to what happens and what is said.
The bit that made me laugh was near the start when Flavio said about Roland (i think) "he is ****, we should sell him" I wonder how many owners have said that.

Yeh that was hilarious but what was not so funny is when he tells paladini to tell the manager through the masseuse that if he doesn't win he gets the sack. ****ing crazy!
I couldn't believe it when he said to Dowie to go tell the reserve coach (during a game) to tell the players pass to someone more because he wanted to see him do something.
I knew they interfered with the manager, but couldn't comprehend just how much. That Amit guy seemed liked a decent bloke, also thought Warnock came across really well.
I will have a bit more sympathy for managers now after watching that. Imagine what AVB has been going through, I bet Abramovich is possibly worse.

Flavio was ****ing hilarious.
Watching him sack managers was like a soap opera, it was like he was trying to be funny for the cameras. My favourite part was when he hired Sousa and like 2 games in he was saying how ****ing **** he was and that he needed sacking. The Dexter Blackstock thing was mental.

Briatore was completely bonkers, but it was Paladini who surprised me most, he was a bumbling idiot, how the hell did he get that job in the first place?
As I'd Sky+d it I thought I'd watch a tidbit of it to see what it was like. This was the point where Paolo Sousa was getting fired and I thought "Who the hell is this twit (with an A instead of an I)"... was ridiculous. If this is what like was like with the PD and PB thank god they're out! By the way when we were on that documentary... I was at Loftus Road that day; one of my best City moments when Amoooooooo scored!
I suspect the players won't have been to happy about that going out, at least one of them isn't anyway...

Considering the way Briatore went on about money saving and being shrude, you would think he would have someone a bit more aggressive in that role. No wonder after they got an FA investigation with that idiot dealing with transfers etc, also no surprise when Flavio left he was shown the door as well.
Some things were given without context. The guy was on a short term contract because there were doubts about his fitness and Briatore told Dowie he wanted them to pass to him to assess his fitness, so I didn't think that was too much of an issue in itelf. There was interference going on, but I think that particular example was taken because it was the clearest way of representing what was happening in the time frame the documentary allowed. (about 20 minutes per season)
They showed Sousa asking for more quality to be signed. The board were running the club like a business. They got some finance by sending out one of their reserve players to Forest, and Sousa decided to make out they'd sold his star player from under him. The fact he was the top scorer was irrelevent, he wasn't going to score any more goals because Sousa wasn't even naming him on the bench.
He was there before they bought the club. I think he'd been brought in by a mysterious Monaco based consortium, the source of most of the £18M debts at takeover, to be chairman (he might even have been there before them). Before that I think he used to be an agent so it was probably something similar to the thing Donny have done this year. He was kept on by the new lot because they were new to football and wanted somebody who knew something about the game to remain. (Obviously they chose the wrong person, but they did that a lot).
They glossed over what caused Sousa to be sacked. I don't know if there's legal reasons they're not allowed to report it so I'm not going to give the details (I did see the comments attributed to him at the time), but the only mention was when they said on the phone about him slagging the players off on the internet.
Watch that bit of the documentary again, the subtitles were brilliant, I suspect there was a phrase that can't be translated because the two sentences didn't seem to sit right with each other. "I am not very happy. ****ing bastard" or something similar.
Barton is probably more surprised they agreed than upset about it happening. The documentary effectively ended at the end of last season. The only bit after Barton joined was the bit in the text catchup at the end where it said about Warnock being replaced by Hughes.

In general I thought it was pretty good at showing what was going on for people who weren't already familiar with it, which is obviously the point. I actually thought in the first couple of seasons of it the fans were being made out to be more unreasonable in their hostility than was actually the case, it was maybe because I was trying to watch it whilst ignoring what I knew combining with them repeatedly having Briatore saying they'd put in £35M as though the fans didn't understand it. Most of that £35M was put in as loans by the owners so it wasn't like they were giving up the money.
The FA investigation was as a result of them changing the transfer/player ownership rules after they'd signed a player and not correcting the paperwork before the change kicked in (they asked the authorities what they needed to do about it and they didn't tell them in time). At least one of the two charges that were proven was for using an agent that wasn't registered with the FA. As said in the documentary though, they were FIFA registered so it's not like it was a complete random.
Why do people who claim to support our club want to rubbish our past managers and chairmen so much?
I saw this was coming on after MOTD2, but decided to go to bed instead as I hate QPR with a passion.
