The next 2 months

Morning Saints,
Good wins for the top 3 this weekend all away, i watched the Leeds/ Saints game and at full time i thought this is the result that could win the title for you lot, one piece of class from Lambert and a near world class display from the keeper is what wins titles, then with Reading winning at Millwall i thought this might be a bad weekend for the Hammers, but fair dues to the Hammers they done the job at Cardiff and got the 3 points we needed, So on to the next 2 months where we are playing nigh on twice a week to the end of the season, who do you think are best equipped for it?

West Ham, We have a large squad so can rotate a bit more than others but have a harder run in.
Southampton, Playing really well as they have done most of the season but have you got the depth in your squad.
Reading, Their form is incredible but surely have they peaked too soon and again have they got the depth.

I love the fact West Ham fans continually question the depth in our squad. We are 34 games in, we have had injuries and suspensions as much as the next team (apart from the suspensions of Allardyce's hatchet men) and still we are top of the league. Albeit WHU have a game in hand on us but we have the extra point on the table.

We have the best attack in the league and our defence is fast becoming one of the best too. What on earth gives West Ham the right to question our strength in depth?

Very true. We have a big enough squad now to field two first elevens. COYR!

We do need to get some of our players such as De Ridder, Sharp, Guly et al making more of a contribution goal-wise. Ricky can't keep doing it all. And we can't keep relying on SKD's magnetic gloves. We do need to up our performance for the next 2 home games and if we finish on 71 points come Saturday evening then happy days.

I love the fact that you have jumped on your high horse when i have only asked a question on the top 3 teams, and i will tell what on earth gives me the right to ask a question, this my friend is a forum on football a forum where football fans ask questions, i have not come on here having a go at your team, if you look carefully at me thread i am actually praising your teams performance against Leeds. now get off your high horse and grow up.

I am in total agreement with Brooking's comments above. Petty little posters with their pithy, terse and vapid remarks and always looking for a confrontation instead of reading properly and responding in a mature manner to other's contributions. SILLY LITTLE BOYS!

Sam-moronic or whatever you are called, what relevance that Guly, Sharp and De Ridder have not played inthe last 2 games? Squad effort is it not? They will play games and they NEED to contribute when they DO play. Are we going to rely on RL for the rest of the run-in? It's all about the squad as NA often repeats.

Morning Brooking. We have a game against Ipswich which(?) I am certain will be tougher than when we visited there earlier in the season. Then you play Watford the day after which I am fairly sure you will win comfortably, and Reading play Pompey who have two hopes of getting anything from that game. There's gonna be points dropped somewhere this month, but I don't think it will be this week. Reading have a string of away fixtures coming up though + Blackpool and Leicester at home, where with some luck three will become two.

West hams home form worries me, but hopefully we will beat Watford and i agree with you i cannot see points dropped this week by any of the top 3, the key is both us and Saints beating Reading if we can both do that then i think we will both go up.

This is for WHU and Saints to lose...we both have auto spots. If we match Reading's results, then both West Ham and Southampton go up. Reading have to win this. I think Saints have many good players and can tolerate one or two injuries, but there is no way our second eleven could win this for us. Lambert and/or Lallana have to be there for most of the remaining games...there's no point in pretending otherwise. Reading have the toughest run out...so I'm going with the usual suspects for promotion..us and the Hammers.

I'm hoping the Reading bubble will burst. I just can't see them continuing their run. B'ham were doing spomething similar and have now faltereds so hopeful the same happens with Reading, then we both go up Simples!

You are right Fran its for us both to chuck away, we have to rely on our own results where as Reading have to hope one of us slip up, as i have a real dislike for Reading and southampton are a decent club i really hope its us and saints that go up with the Hammers as champions of course.

Hang on Richotb33..? WHAT..? For the other two players to score they have to play regularly.

Guly is on 10 league goals. That's not a poor return for a midfielder with 31 games played. I know it seems as if Rickie is a one man strike force, but Saints have scored 62 league goals this season, with Rickie getting 20 of them. That's 42 goals coming from elsewhere. Players are pitching in.

Not a question of growing up, its a question of your lot coming over here all season and questioning our strength in depth. It's boring. It's been done to death and after 34 games with a point more than you it's a question that has surely been answered.

What relevance? You are asking them to pitch in with goals when they aren't playing. Guly has weighed in with goals regularly all season but he's been ill for the past month. Sharp has been a goal machine all season for Doncaster and is being bedded in and De Ridder isn't getting a look in because on the evidence of the first half of the season, he's a bit of a headless chicken.

Kudos for the 'Sam-Moronic' jibe though. Witty.

I'd like Reading to come up, via the playoffs, simply because they'll add to the number of Southern clubs in the PL. There aren't enough.

I have not done the question before, i was asking a legit question because as far as i can remember when RL was suspended and you had others out because of injury i think i am right in saying your form dipped a little allowing us to close the gap.. if the question has been done before and you are bored instead of jumping on your high horse and acting childish don't answer the question let others answer with legit answers.
