Who would you like to see start against Hull on Tuesday night? Sorry for starting a new thread with this question but the Hull City fans have ruined the original thread with their jealous and over excited behaviour.

I am hoping for same again, probably minus White and Bromby who I assume will be out injured.

GK. Lonergan
RB. Connolly
CB. Lees
CB. O'Brien
LB. Pugh
RM. Snodgrass
CM. Clayton
CM. Brown
LM. White
CF. Becchio
CF. McCormack

--------------Lonergan-----------------

Connolly-----Lees-----O'Brien------Pugh

Snodgrass---Clayton---Brown---Webber

-------------McCormack---------------
------------------Becchio--------------

Not sure if Webber is ready to start but i still see that area as a weak spot in our team. White has pace and nothing else, I like Sam but he's too inconsistent, Webber showed a decent amount of quality when he came on but probably won't last 45 mins let alone a full 90. Pugh is OK there but he is by far our best LB.

----------Lonners---------

Connelly--Lees--O'dea--Pugh

-----Brown-----Clayton------

Webber--Mccormack--Snoddy

------------Becchio------------

Bench: White O'Brien Sam Rogers Paynter

Decent team. <ok>

Give webber the 2nd half if sams not at it, hes probs not ready for a start though. White to come on and inject some pace against a tiring defence. Bit worried brown and clayton might be fatigued after their big shifts on saturday but theres really no one else to play there

This is the issue. Warnock is starting to find what he wants his first team to be but now we have no quality depth there. Brown is too old to play every game I think

The defence in that team looks awful to me. Why O'Brien should get a place is beyond me. Pugh's a proven failure at left-back. Lees blows hot and cold, as does Connolly. Why couldn't we have kept Smith and Kisnorbo? It's a cruel world.

O'Brien wouldn't warrant a place in the defence if it wasn't for the rest of the defence being bad. I think your harsh on Lees, he is young and he has to constantly cover O'Dear. Connolly is quite reliable with the odd bad game and Danny Pugh played very well against the saints and is our best LB by far imo.

Smith had to go back to Spurs because they recalled him, and Kisnorbo did what he does best and got injured. Keep up

I know why, just pointing out that we've had decent personnel who might well have given us a playoff standard squad if we'd had some luck on our side. Sadly fortune has conspired against us, as per usual.

And personally, I'd rather see O'Dea in there than O'Brien. O'Dea will make an honest positioning mistake, whereas O'Brien will get skinned like the hapless donkey he is by any attacker. At least O'Dea wins tackles and shows passion.

Bromby's injury doesn't look too serious, so I'm hoping he's the man to partner Lees. At least he's consistent, even if that entails being consistently just below average.

I think there was more to that, the rumours started on the Thursday or Friday that Smith was going back, he was dropped from the team on Saturday, Spurs never played till the Sunday when Walker got injured and hence the 'claim' that Smith was required for cover... Walker played on Sunday (yesterday) just one week on...

<ok>

It was all quite dodgy and cloak-and-dagger. Can't understand it for the life of me.

I think Robinson will play as a CB
What I have found interesting is the fact the Lees started the season for us at RB and since NW took control we have seen Bruce, Conolly and Bromby all start in that position. We have conceded 1 goal in 2 games since NW arrived, I don't think he is going to change the Lees O'Dea partnership in the middle.

I think it will be Robinson at LB with Pugh or Brown alongside Clayton. Brown came off early on Saturday which suggests NW wishes to use him today, I don't care if Pugh starts on the bench with a view to coming on only if needed. I did like how both Sam and Webber made an impact after coming on, it has been a while since we have had genuine attacking options on the bench.

If White is fit I think it will be as we were all apart from Pugh.
