When will managers learn it isn't worth leaving your club and joining Chelsea, or do they do it for the big pay off pay day?
He was stupid to leave Porto. Abramovic was stupid to appoint him, and also stupid to sack him at this point. And also stupid to appoint Di Matteo for the rest of the season. The players are stupid to have been such petulant, manipulative babies. Many of their fans are stupid for not seeing it coming from a long way away. Stupid club, really.
He was unlucky I think, he was having to take them through a transition period and that's always difficult. Sure he'll do well wherever he is next.
Chelsea have been very poor and weak at the back ever since last season (excluding the first 3 months). Including results such as 0-3 v Sunderland which started off a run where they won 1 in 9. The only reason they managed to finish 2nd was due to Arsenal completely falling away after the Carling Cup final defeat. This season they have continued the trend with their players a year older, Torres still not scoring and the players still not showing any desire for the club. Can't fault his success at Porto, but he was hardly going to be the next Mourinho. Let's hope they still miss out on the champions league anyway.
