I disagree i think cattermole was fantastic today. Yeah he lost his head at the end but the adrenaline probably got the better of him and he was clearly gutted. He was missing the next 2 games anyway so thought an extra game was worth it for calling dean a ****. Its only QPR at home anyway so we wont need him.
Cattermole was brilliant. Tiote kicked the back of Sess's legs 4 times just before he reacted, Tiote 5 minutes later decided to go down like the whining little girl he is. Not going to have a go at either of our players!
Cattermole misses the next 2 games Liverpool at home and Everton and Sess will miss the same. And we could have lost with their penalty, and the handball incident.
Yes sess and catts played well not critical of the way they played just getting red cards cheesed me off.
Cattermole was absolutely outstanding yesterday. I have never been his biggest fan but he was immense all game.
Cant forgive them for being sent of but can understand them. Give me the choice, our 5-1 passion or our 1-1 passion, is there a choice?
Watched the replay and you can clearly make out the words 'muppet' and 'prick', i reckon catts got it spot on there. The ref was clearly had at half time.
I have to say I thought Catts did extremely well. He got booked early on and could have lost it but he kept his head and had an excellent game. He only lost it after the match which is a lot better than getting sent off and putting us down to 9 on the pitch. I have time for Sess too, he was getting kicked every time e got the ball. The ref should have booked Tiote sooner to give him some protection. The Sess one was a reaction in the heat of the moment, it was a red I have no objection to that. For me this has made the cup tie against Everton very difficult. We need to look for a draw and bring them back to the Sol.
Sess will be missed more than Catts, whilst I doubt we can appeal Sess's red card can we appeal the length of it? He raised his arm, not much force, just been kicked several times, and a cheating cameo of playacting?
I may well be on my own here but Sess appeared (to me) to have reacted more by pushing his arm back to free himself of the 3 players all round him and didn't appear to have been looking at Tiote and trying to elbow him. Tiote, having been pushed on the chest then (well, after a while) went down as if a tank transporter had driven over his neck. Had the ref given Sess some protection earlier it wouldn't have come to him having to push away their player. Can you imagine how Sess felt whilst getting jumped on and hacked at by 2 or 3 of them everytime he got the ball. They were obviously scared of his talent and successfully wound him up until he reacted and they got him sent off. The ref could (and should) have prevented it. Also, hate to say it but Ben Arfa looked canny.
Cattermole receives an additional 2 match ban for the straight red card for foul and abusive language toward Mike Dean yet other players in other teams (eg. Henderson in the Liverpool v Arsenal game) get nothing for calling the linesman "****ing ****". I'd be pulling a Pulis if I were MON.
