Chaps Just read a tweet from Monty Panesar that Jose has been spotted in London. Whilst it might be bollocks, it also might not be. Would you have him back? People returning doesn't always go well, but he's perhaps the only man has a big enough ego/backbone to deal with the owner. Any thoughts? Would you prefer Rafa?
Was in the papers mate. Think its about 3 or 4 days old now the actual story. They said he was buying a house, but who knows why? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Chelsea-boss-Andre-Villas-Boas-pressure.html
Cheers mate! I can see him coming back and not doing much. Surprised if he wasn't holding on for United. Who knows he might do a couple of years at Chelsea and then directly jump ship. That would be entertaining!
Can't see why he'd go to Salford Reds, he'd have Slur Al breathing (whiskey stained breath) down his neck, not Maureen's style to be in someone's shadow and certainly not his! I see him at Man City if Mancini somehow ****s everything up and again puts in a poor performance in the CL next season (premier league trophy or not). He means a lot to the Chelsea fans and Chelsea means a lot to him.
I want AVB to continue his long term turn round, but if the axe has to fall, Jose or Hiddink are the only replacements I'd feel comfortable with!
These He said a year or so ago he's got unfinished business at Chelsea, he and Roman are patched up and have been for a long time... Even if he didn't spend to fit in the FFP rules he'd get more out of the squad than any other manager I can think of, apart from Hiddink.
Have to admit it would entertaining having him back. I hated him but he was a good hate figure if you get what I mean! Respected his ability if not the man himself. Would he have the bottle to ditch the old guard?
The thing is if you can manage them then why get rid? The issue this season is the way AVB has mishandled the senior players...massage their egos, get the best out of them and then sell the ones you don't want... Instead he has gone in all guns blazing and ****ed it up..."roman backs my plan, so shut up and get on with it"... Not very clever, and now it's him who is under fire because they are digging their heels in, which in itself isn't particularly pleasing to see either the selfish bastards!
I agree with what you have said, but I do feel you need a clear out rather than just 'better managing' of the old guard. I mean how many players do you have on the wrong side of 30? Lampard Drogba Malouda? Kalou? Terry Beletti? Ferrara? (excuse spelling!) Essien? Just sems like you have quite a lot of players who need phasing out.
Lampard, Terry, Drogba and possibly Essien all have something to offer...and Essien aside are possibly the most difficult to manage... The rest can do one! Belletti went two years ago...
Did he? lol. Lampard and Terry run Chelsea and that's the problem. The future isn't however with them.
True mate, but if someone you can t stand tells you something, you generally think "yeah whatever mate", but if someone you respect tells you the same thing you still may not like it but you'll take more of it on board. To be honest there's a lot more at fault than just senior players, but they certainly aren't helping...our buying policy has been wayward to say the least with sudden impulse buys such as Shevchenko, Torres etc when actually the money could have been better spent, our board are arseholes who know nothing about football and get Wilkins sacked, and our owner is a very generous bloke who obviously runs his businesses outside football in a way that isn't really compatible with a football club!
