I thought yesterday it was mentioned that they could be any compound but today I've read that they can be either medium or soft.
Hulk's 1:22.6 was on mediums, everyone else seems to be setting times on the softs or unmarkeds, which I think are probably softs. Alonso's just done a 1:22.2 on the supersofts. Quite impressed by Hulkenberg's time, he's just left the pits again...

Didn't they use one of those in Independece day to make contact with the alien mothership? Then got blown out of the sky..........
Didn't Williams say they struggle for one lap pace but have good tyre wear? Senna: 1:22.296 1:22.986 1:23.652 1:24.698
Interesting run from Schumacher. A conservative first lap (1:29) produced a nice little run of consistent 1:25s. A more interesting front wing angle on the Red Bull: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Well, on that subject, he's just averaged a 1:29 on a 10-lap run. Looking like that car has a few issues on long runs. (Although the one you quoted was on soft tyres if I'm not mistaken, think a lot of teams have been struggling with them dropping off quickly.
Top 5 - mostly from quali runs - separated by just 1 tenth of a second. If you include Hamilton that only stretches to 2 tenths, too. I hope that means what I think it does...
d'oh. Ignore me. I can't read. Actually I will take this edit opportunity to ask if everyone's become accustomed to the stepped nose now that we're all focusing on other bits of the cars. So, has everyone become accustomed to the stepped nose now that we're all focusing on other bits of the cars?
Oh hush. Also, guarantee this is the last time you'll see Vettel's name in 10th place on the timesheets...

Riakkonen winning the mornings battle to be first whilst Hamilton gets in the most laps. The McLaren getting more laps in today than recently. Aghh can't read, Alonso has the most laps
Luca Colajanni has told Fox UK that cancelling the Ferrari drivers' press briefings is so their words don't get twisted since it's clear they're some way behind schedule.
AUTOSPORT: It's too abrasive - supersoft excels on low grip surfaces 11:56 For those wondering why all the quick times are coming with the softs, rather than the supersoft - Paul Hembery explained to @Noblef1 this morning that this track is not good for supersofts This explains a lot.
