I know that I should know better at my age but I cant help myself, just feels like a great weekend ahead for us mackems. Itââ¬â¢s a bueatiful start to the day, Iââ¬â¢m off to watch my 6 year old grandson play footy then back for the Spuds v Hammers on the box. It will be a very good Saturday for us with.. United beating Bolton Stoke at least getting a draw against the Mags. The Spuds will win but they are away anyhow so the only danger to me is Everton beating Fulham, a draw will do me. We then move on to Sunday and oh how Iââ¬â¢m looking forward to Sunday.I just think we will be very happy mackems come Sunday evening.
I expect to win on sunday, but, and its a big but, whenever we get the big crowds & anticipation is high we always manage to blow it. Hoping tomorrow is the exception to the rule.
Big crowd, big expectations, i just hope we don't see a repeat of what happened against Newcastle when the crowd turned after conceding early on. We need to get behind the team for this one which i'm sure we will. I hate predicting but i'm going for 2-0.
most of us expect to beat Liverpool, just shows quinn and bruce are doing a great job. When was the last time we were so confident in this fixture?
Its saturday night for me lads, pissed again........ when I wake up most of the answers will have presented themselves............ and the a full day and half 3/4 of a night and the lads will be there ready to rollover that bunch of **** from Merseyside........ ha’way the lads……………c’mon
"Iââ¬â¢m off to watch my 6 year old grandson play footy..." I'm off to watch my 15-year-old daughter play footy. I started procreating much later than you, Syd, so will have to wait a while to go and watch my grandson play, but I'm looking forward to the day. Today's will be my daughter's first competitive match - away to last year's champions. The girls are a little apprehensive but I have a little anecdote to tell them about another team this season who went to play at the current champions and, well, you know the rest. God, she would be so over the moon if they won 3-0. Forgive me, lads, but I think if my daughter's team win 3-0, it will be an even bigger high than when we beat Chelsea. Well ...?
Sorry - been out all afternoon at the clinic. Syd, I think you need to go. Off to look at the results now. Anything interesting?
Well, it wasn't a replica of Chelsea-Sunderland. 4-0 down at half-time, I feared the worst (away to the champions, remember). But then my daughter went in goal at half-time and though it never looked as if it was going to be a Newcastle-Arsenal, it finished 4-1 so my daughter kept a clean sheet - no mean feat - and we won the second half! Is this the beginning of a great new career for her? Watch this space. Same result tomorrow please. (I mean 4-1 to the home team.)
Well chats, given that you're in Switzerland, could it be anything to do with the fact that her team were kicking downhill in the second half?
Nice one, wherewereyou. Actually, I must say that pitches in Switzerland tend to be excellent quality and the views are stunning. Perhaps we had the Alps at our backs in the second half and that distracted the other team's attention. No, no, my unbiased opinion is that it was because my daughter went in goal at half-time.
Even happier would be the next line including the two words "... nil, Sunderland ...". And even better would be combining the two lines in some way to make one line. Oh well, we'll see in two years' time if they come back up.
