But what I can't stand are the people who, after weeks of doom-mongering, are now the ones laughing loudest. When Arsenal lose, they are the ones asking for Wenger's head. When Arsenal win, they are the ones who want a Gold statue of Wenger outside the stadium. And they're the ones who give us a bad image on this site. Please, don't go laughing at all the rival fans because we got a good result against Spurs, simply because a 3-0 drubbing at Liverpool will make you look like idiots. Save the taunts and the jeers for when we're actually in the top four at the end of the season, otherwise you may find your comments in more than a few signatures come the end of the season.
I am with Samurai here, but then again there is a lot of kids on this forum, so - just ignore ... emm.. how do i put it - unbalanced remarks.
I never called for wenger head. I stand by the fact the players arent good enough and 1 game wont make me change my mind. I always want wenger to stay though because he is an amazing manager and he will rebuild the squad. Just chill out samurai.
IDT he aimed it at people in general and yes I do like it when we are all ahppy instead of constant the team is s*** but it is annoying when suddenly certain people go from we are crap to we'll get 3rd
I'm not I havent gone anywhere to gloat over our victory - only chastised some stupid spuds for saying that we only won because of their tactics. My views are the same - Wenger gets 4th minimum and rebuilds the squad in the summer or I want him to **** off. Question for Samurai.... When Arsenal play well, as we did on Sunday, how would you like fans that are negative to react??? Some of us are just honest about what actually happens - if its good its good, if its bad its bad. Wouldnt it be a bit ridiculous to be negative after such a good performance?????
I have only been gloating to spuds fans because they talk so much sh!t, and just said i don't think we will win at Liverpool, and will probably lose or draw, and hopefully get a draw. I haven't been saying we will now go on and smash all, this has the POTENTIAL to send us on a good run, but that's all, we just have to wait and see. Having said all that, it's still been a very very sh!t season and whether we end up 4th, or even 3rd (big doubt that will happen), none of that will make up for the many disasters we have had to witness this season, as well as going a 7th consecutive season without silverware, i'm not going to be satisfied in the least with the outcome of the season, i don't share Wengers vision (and some other low club mentality fans) that getting 4th spot is like a trophy. 4th spot will not make up for 8-2, the Milan fiasco, the Blackburn fiasco, going 3 games in a row with a loss, and a whole host of other pitiful pathetic performances (Sunderland away 2-0 Cup match another example). One could literally fill a whole BOOK with everything that's been wrong with this club this season. And as Jayram said, when it's bad, we will say it's bad, in fact us fans who are saying it's bad have been calling for fight, spirit, and performances like the 5-2, so obviously we will praise the team for something we have been asking for, and something we want to see. But when they do completely sh!t like at Milan, then what are we supposed to say, especially fans like me WHO WENT TO MILAN TO WITNESS THE GAME? Are we supposed to say oh well they tried etc, well actually, no, they were pathetic and a disgrace to the Arsenal Football Club and the away fans on that night, and then what about the Sunderland cup game? That was another terrible performance and even MORE disgraceful than Milan as one would have assumed that the Milan disaster would fire these guys up to make amends, yet they came and played just as bad as they did in Milan, and so are supposed to stay quiet and say oh well? Nobody in their right minds could have watched the Milan and Sunderland games and sat back without negatively critiquing the team and Wenger.
Stupid post by the OP to be honest. It is natural to feel elated when Arsenal BATTER Spurs and then upset when we lose the games we have been losing. Most of the people calling for Wenger's head did not change their tune when we went on that mini run a little while back so, this thread is a bit .. pointless. Goes to show the importance of the NLD to some people and for that I am pleased because I was of the opinion that many fans did not know what it meant to be a Gooner
Lets make it clear it was a terrific victory, and if we win at Anfield we may well get 4th. However I still want Wenger to go. He has to get rid of at least 6 deadwood players, buy 2 stars, and trim the 71 players signed up on a wing and a prayer that he'll find a Fabregas amongst them. The list of issues is too long and boring to go over yet again, tactics, deadball weakness, only 1 keeper blah blah.
To be honest mate, saying that you weren't even up for the Spurs game spoke volumes about where you are coming from.
Big match. I didn't know Rosicky was injured, that's a blow, he was immense against Spurs. With Gerrard out as well it's too close to call. Hope Ramsey puts a shift in and doesn't over-complicate things, play it simple son!
Song, Arteta and ??? Oxo in the middle? Maybe loaning out Arshavin wasn't such a great idea. Maybe Coquelin in the holding role and push Song/Arteta forward? Something for Wenger to ponder...
Coquelin is out for 4 weeks but Diaby is fit According to Arsenal.com Rosicky should be fit but RVP and Vermaelen are carrying knocks
