Leeds will have a point to prove against the Super Saints, at tea time on Saturday. The first match of the season saw Southampton rip apart the poorest Leeds side I have probably ever seen. Under the new guidance of young Warnock, the lads will want to put in a big performance, and keep alive their faint hopes of promotion alive. Saints on the other hand have had a faltering start to the year, but have seemed to refined there form in the last couple of games.

Discussion points

Leeds fans are being encouraged to stay away from ER this Saturday as a way of protesting against Bates, are you keeping to that?

Saints fans, are you making the long trip up, or just watching the match on Sky?

Saints fans going up, how much are you paying for a ticket?

Who is the bigger club, Leeds or Southampton?

Evening Nig, we need to make ER a fortress again, it may be god damn empty on Saturday <yikes>

Hope we can strengthen our defence before Saturday. I'll say a shock 3-0 win

Leeds are the bigger club of course, but saints have a very exciting future ahead and currently have a better team and better players individually, although Leeds have some fine players aswell like Snodgrass and Becchio
I don't know who's gonna win...

We have a secret weapon, Billy Paynter too...

Agreed, Warnock has called for the fans support, LUST are saying boycott the game

LUST have changed their stance on this in the letter dated 23/02/2012

"We put the question of whether L.U.S.T. should continue to support the Southampton protest to our members, whose opinion guides the direction of the Trust. Of more than 600 responses we received by email, over 80% declared that the protest should not go ahead."

"The comments we received made our members feelings clear. We feel that March 3rd would be a day better spent giving our full, vociferous backing to you and the players, to give you a taste of what it is like to have Leeds United fans on your side. One of the aims of the Trust is to see Leeds - the club, the fans, the players, the city - united behind a successful football team. We are enthusiastic about the prospect of your management helping to bring that about, and are keen to give you all the help we can. Neil, we hope you will understand that our decision not to support the protest is a gesture of the fans’ faith in your ability, and a demonstration of the support you can look forward to receiving as manager of Leeds United. "

No, because I have a season ticket. I would have boycotted the first seven minutes if the proposed protest had gone ahead.

That goes without saying. Care for an interesting fact? In the 02-03 season, Leeds and Southampton were the two clubs with the most supporters born more than 20 miles away from their grounds. Any Saints fans shed any light on why? Lots of fans from northern Hampshire?

Seeing as Leeds never spend any anything, do they actually make money?

Yes, we turn over about £30m a season. £12m of that is spent on wages, transfers and agent fees. That's the lowest proportion you'll find in the Football League. Blackpool spent more than that in their promotion season on wages alone. I'm sure Saints and every other club in the top half of the table spend significantly more than that sum, too.

:D Was this for his abuse of the Norwich fans the other day? I saw them getting pretty irritated at him.

Also...

^^ OH MY GOD, IT'S THE WHITE ROSE OF YORKSHIRE! ^^

What's that doing there, Saints fans?!

the rose is the symbol of the city
