Not especially pleased to get united but if we can get through that we at least avoid the spaniards till the final.

From the outset i fancied a chelsea v madrid final and it can still happen.

One advantage of being out the title race is we will really go for this and perhaps their fixtures list and injuries will catch up with them.
 
We have won our last 3 Prem matches against Utd so why should we fear them,they are a good side but I bet the Utd fans are more worried about it than us.

I do hope your manager and team dont think like that because you will get beat with that attitude.

You may of won the last 3......you didnt deserve to though. Our turn to get the luck in the games between us cant be too far away and theres no Atkinson to save you this time.

United in moan about ref shock...read all about it!

Change the record. The luck you got came in the 2008 final which bar the first 30 minutes or so, we dominated.

Earlier poster was mearly saying we shouldn't fear united which is true. They will be respected though and it will be very tough. However we are starting to turn things around so why not have high hopes?

Yes of course. Chelsea absolutely dominated with 42% of the possession. You only dominated in terms of hitting speculative shots from distance - 21 shots off target, but only three shots on target, two of which were the shots involved in your goal.

Either way, it'll be a close tie. Not much to call between the two teams - the last few games have all been very close and neither side has a clear advantage in terms of performance. I only hope we're not distracted by the FA Cup and title run in.

Agreed our form has been by our standards bad but with our game in hand we are still only 6 points off you. What does that say about your own form? We are giving you the title and you still cant take it!! You will be the worst ever winners of the premier league this year.

To compare to liverpool is a joke. Firstly we can still compete for the title, liverpool finished about 30 pts off the year they won the champs league. Also we are in the champs league as champions of England, something liverpool have never achieved. So in summary, stop talking nonsense.

The words 'a major step down' on previous winners over the recent past would be a better way of putting it

Which were not on target.

Over the course of the game VDS made just one save, which was from Rio's mis-header. Cech made two saves and Terry made two goal line clearances. You needed two consecutive deflections and our goal keeper to lose his footing (which I think was in the same place Terry did, just for the irony) to score your goal.

Yeah with a game in hand, if we win that, 6pts.

You cant win the league every year. We have competed in the league and champs league consistently over the last few years. No one other than blinkered fans could say we would not be worthy winners if we beat you, inter and then barca for instance.

on target or not, they were the closest either team came to a winner, Lampard especially should probably have scored.
