Not to cast aspersions on fellow City fans (that got me accused of being a Gashead back on 606), but I don't think that gentleman is sure about what he's talking about.
I too have always had mixed feelings about our... less than illustrious history. We've had highs, of course, but there's been a benefit from thinking our 'glory' days could still be ahead. If playing Football Manager has taught me anything, it's that we're not alone. Handy little information screens tell the entire history of clubs and their achievements, or lack of them, and there's a surprising amount who haven't managed even what we have.
