yeah i think they will knock a few past us too, chopra waits for this game and just as he's hitting form to 4-2 i said, but dont think we will score 4
19 of our lads have had a go on our 'Guess the Goal' game, 11 have gone for an Ipswich win,3 for the draw and 5 only predict a BCFC win, talk about lack of confidence..
as an Ipswich fan living in Bristol, I always look forwards to this fixture ! Always go to the away game. I met Derek Mcinnes on the flight when he became manager shortly after on my way back from Glasgow, nice guy ! As for the game, I'm unsure. Often after we lose, we FAIL to bounce straight back. You'd think winning 4 on the spin, including West Ham and Cardiff at home fairly comprehensively, it would be a foregone conclusion. We've had a weird season. City, are in a bit of a mess. Maynard going, Elliott out for the rest of the season, and I know several season ticket holders in the Atyeo / Wedlock who just want the season to end with them in the championship ! I'm gonna go for a 2-2 draw. Simply, because a " blip " for us becomes a " wobble ". I hope I'm wrong, City are in alarmingly bad form, we really should be looking to get the 3 points, and back on track to see how far up the table we can finish. There is half a good side at Ipswich at present, with some fine tuning next season ( providing Chopra / Martin and JET all stay ) I think we'll be a force. I don't think we're a million miles off for once. Obviously the defence and goalkeeping situation need addressing,,, but I digress! The 3-0 1st game of the season was NEVER 3-0 to us, James really made two idiotic decisions. We were the better side though and deserved the points that day. I'd just take any form of win, with a half decent performance please !
We will be lucky to only concede three. We must field an ultra - attacking side. I'd rather get dicked 5-2 than 5-0 any day.
I feel really uncomfortable reading this thread! Normally we are the under dogs and expecting the worst!
Even in our P/O year they stuffed us 6 - 0. May the Lord help us. Last year we were asked to renew season tickets in February - I did. Why not this year ? Has Sextone given up.
We are so Jeckyl and Hyde we could beat you 6-0 or lose 6-0 depending on what frame of mind our players start the game in! I don't know anything about Bristol City but as supporters would you accept the need for relegation in order to clear out the deadwood and rebuild again? As an Ipswich supporter I have been used to 10 years of mediocrity bumping around in mid-table year after year just wishing we had something to play for after Easter!
We are down there mate and deserve to be,we can turn it on but we can't keep it up,periods of the game we look so bloody good we start to think we are going to be ok,we even go 1 goal up then bang before you kow it we are 3 down,we've had injuries, management changes, bad referees and some bad luck but I'm fed up of making excuses, but like all fans I still believe in my team and bloody love 'em,so I've got no excuses at all......
Fairplay mate your obviously a true supporter through thick and thin. A warm welcome if you make the trip up to Portman Road on Saturday.
