Evening chaps! Firstly. Get in! And secondly big shout out to Cardiff who were perhaps a little unfortunate. To the point - were there any good stories relating to yesterday/last night from anyone?!! For me. I went down the pub with the aim of just having 'a beer or two' because I had a meeting with my boss the next day. Due to the circumstances of the result I/we ended up having about 6/7 pints, singing for ages and then stumbling home! I couldn't then sleep and had to get up at 5. I woke up, still slightly drunk, ironed a shirt and drove to work. I felt sick/immensely tired and almost pulled a sickie but then I couldn't because it would be obvious I was hanging out my arse! Instead I pulled over at a service station, had a coffee, and tried to pull myself together thinking the day would go quick after the meeting. The meeting went well somehow, but then of all bloody people, our Managing Director turns up and I ended up having to present our forecast. As a result i've only been home and hour and a bit still running off adrenalin! I'm only just now taking in last nights exeperiences after what was a ridiculous night and seriously busy day! Anyone else have anthing?!!
yea, i shook hands with both the chairman and investor of the club, dato tan chien ghee and vincent tan before the match as i was in the front row and they were walking past i remember everything as i didnt drink any alcohol
Nice work mate! Wish I could of been there. I never drink on a Sunday but it just turned into one of those nights. I felt so **** this morning though - I could barely move!
You need to practice more. You don't deserve the hangover you described after 6 or 7. I watched the game with the family in the house, my mother in law now thinks I'm a bit strange after all the jumping around, and swearing at the tele.
You're write. I do usually drink more. I think it was more the fact it didn't sleep much and was worrying about work the next day. Did feel like **** though!
i did see a liverpool fan fall through a bus stop window drunk as a skunk......no harm done we dusted him-off and away he went side ways singing his head off ....fking great day great banter before the game and after. bow4fowler good luck with the job dude.......and im sure the drinking was worth it at the time <medicinal>
I find it strange that you are almost 40 and your mother in law is only just realising your a bit strange. I've only known you for a small time via this forum and I think your wierd as **** sugar tits
Had a Skype with my son in Oz an hour before the match. He stayed up to watch it even though it didn't start till Midnight his time. Throughout the match I was getting text comments from him telling me not only his thoughts on the match but also how many botles of wine he was getting through. Like B4f he had work in the morning - but a lot less time for 'recovery'. However, he did get an hour or so's kip and was one VERY HAPPY BOY
I packed the mrs off to lakeside so I could watch the game in peace. she came back during extra time and started talking about what she'd brought. I completley blanked her and carried on watching the game. my 2 year old celebrated with me as we won and the mrs thought that the little liverpool kid that poked himself in the eye was "cute". Drink count - 7 cans of fosters & a double morgans spiced with coke
Part-timer I was in the alehouse at 11.30 am, having already indulged in a doobie. First pint (of Carling) free. A few games of darts then the free sausage and chips arrived, with bread and Lurpak. Few more games of darts and then up to the 'function room' to assume the position. Watched the whole build-up on BBC. There were a few up there, but it was on in the pub proper, so the non-smokers stayed down there. Smoking is allowed in the 'function room'. When the pint is getting to danger levels, you simply phone the landlady and she brings your ale up with a free Sambuca to accompany it. At half-time we had free homemade chinese chipshop chicken curry, which was fu.king gorgeous. I then popped out for another doobie, and went back upstairs to reassume the position. The Carling is £2 a pint for the duration of the match. Match finishes and we win <hurray>. Pint count - unknown. Estimate between 12 to 15 from 11.30 to 7.00 pm. Probably 6 Sambucas along with those. Home, doobie, can of Carling, bed. That was my day.
