So on Saturday we had a bad day at the factory. At the start of the season we all expressed our expectations. Top ten most folk said. Then we had our annual flirt with the R word. Bruce walked the green mile & we brought in another person, (who is he again?). We went on a run not many of us would have believed possible given that it's the same team apart from our two loanee's. OK, so some, including me were disappointed with the lack of transfer activity in the winter window, but we do OK, we tick along. As a consequence of this our expectations rise. THEN. We get a walloping at a side we expected to beat. Oh woe is me, it was always gonna happen at sometime. Are we still on for our pre season predictions? Yes we are. Can we go higher? Again yes but not much. Can we catch the mags? Not in my opinion we can't. Will we win the derby? I don't know but I expect a vast improvement as that of recent years. At the end of this season, Marty will have had time to fully assess his squad. He will know who he want's to keep, who he want's rid of &, more importantly, will have learned some lessons about our ability on Saturday. Is the future bright? Of course it is. Will we have a better squad at the start of next season? I think & hope so. Are we on the up? Aye, we ****ing are. After all the arguments & fallings out, what are we? We are red & white, we are Sunderland. KTF.
Go on Billy................ I agree on all of it....the man has worked wonders...... But the players let him and everyone down.....get'em told Martin....
Nice one bdcpb, mon's worked wonders with the lad's (who will win the derby ktf) ok we had a daft one on the weekend but we will get there as i say ktf
Couldn't agree more Billy. All teams have off days - this was our first one under MON. I don't expect we'll have many more
Spot on, if I was MON on Saturday I would have have made them run alongside the team bus home, just to teach them a lesson
