This should boost both Swansea and Norwich fans spirits, one of the relegation spots has been reserved this season, they tried to be sneaky and hide their tactics but all is revealed: QPR's Form: 3 Pt January 1 Pt February 2 Pt December --- Blackpool reincarnated, it must be! In Total then, 6/39 points!
Haha, I used to be indifferent to QPR but just for how much they bragged about their signings, I really want to see them relegated.
I think it's hilarious that fans of Norwich and Swansea wish each other well and want both clubs to stay up but both don't care about QPR. Are they arrogant? Oh Yes !
It's great to see the two well run clubs doing well and the one that deserves to fail failing for a change.
Other clubs don't deserve Lambert or Rodgers Looking forward to next season, and your visit to Carrow Road, your team is a true pleasure to watch, quality players in your squad! Good luck with Stoke manana...
I wasn't overly impressed by QPR last year. They had a good run until Christmas and then limped home.
Must say I was impressed with your lads down our place, Lambert got his tactics spot on. Good luck tomorrow lads, feel you only need two more wins and your home free.
No probs with QPR , hope they can make the grade coming round the clubhouse turn . Could be a financial nightmare if they don't .
The point is QPR knew/saw how Norwich and Swansea set out to approach their journey in the top tier and thought (especially the arrogant fans) we'll show them how to go about it! So far, arrogance personified, crash and burn And that's after spending more money (on misfits and has beens) than the other two promoted clubs combined! Chuffed for Fulham today, who's the 'bigger' club now, Mark Hughes ?
Where the comparison falls down is that Blackpool actually played well and scored plenty of points until Christmas.
I think that the team that cleared out most of their players that got them promoted and then spent silly money on some questionable signings deserves what they get. That said, looking at the teams around them they'll probably get out of it - more's the pity.
QPR built a team for 1 year - last year - to get them promoted, and it's a ******ed way of doing it. Much better to build a base and then continually refine it until you're winning the Champions League...
Well said, building for the future with youth, potential, and pace, is always a better subsitute than paying excessive transfer fees for an immediate, short-term fix
Like many I didn't have anything against QPR but after Colin's graceless behaviour and insistance that they were so much better than us despite us doubling them this year and taking four points from them last year. Since then I have experienced much schadenfruede at their slide down the table. I can see them staying up as I only see Bolton being dead certs for the drop with Wigan also likely to struggle to keep up. There is a real battle ahead for Wolves/Blackburn and QPR with at least one taking the long march downwards and if QPR are to go they will be in a whole lot of trouble with a huge wage bill and squad full of mercanaires looking to jump ship at the earliest opportunity.
Players that no other sane PL club would touch with a barge-pole, considering their journeyman-status, lack-of-loyalty, poor performances and severe lack of cohesion. It'll be like throwing worms into a pond, but the fish don't bother to eat any, because they aren't interested
its not much fun being a WUM on the QPR boards now, because of all the things you could write about (norwich and swanseas success with unproven players, QPRS star signings being very poor value for money, Barton being a loud mouth idiot, Hughes achieving less than NW) they already know, and agree. They're beating themselves up over it on a minute by minute basis. Well. Apart from that dave thomas guy, who writes stream of concious posts about QPR's mineral collection.
We had a hard time from a few QPR posters that migrated from the old BBC to here pre-season, it all went back to our play-off final, and wanting Reading to stuff us to keep the Welsh out of the Prem, there was quite a bit of anti-welsh being posted towards the end of the old BBC 606 and on here from QPR posters, ok they won the Championship, but a number were far from humble in their victory, and saw us as a laugh going into the play-offs, and I must admit I did find it very poor show, that's not to say all QPR posters were like that, because they were not, but it does seem now to be a case of he who laughs last, laughs the longest, I've no ill will towards QPR boys, and I hope they do survive, though I'm no fan of arrogant Mark Hughes, but it looks to be a close call for them, not that we are safe yet either, but you canaries definitely are, hope all three promoted sides stay up. Anyway now for something completely different, I like the Suffolk/Norfolk area, always pay a visit for a week at elveden forest (Center Parc) as a winter break, lovely country and quite flat which makes a change from the hills of Wales.................. please log in to view this image
Funny you should say that Phil,I really like the hilly bits, maybe it's the change that is good.I must admit I always quited liked Colin despite being a gob****e of the highest order. As regards your team I was nearly as keen for you to win that play off final as you were.Reading had their place in the sun and the Swans are doing just fine. You only need four or five points.See you next year.
