...a big shirt number at this club. Rickie is clearly great, and Le Tissier made it his own.

Was just thinking, how far back can we go with the wearers of the #7 ?

2009-current - Rickie Lambert


Also who are your Top 3 #7's of all-time?
 
Terry Paine. Won a World Cup winner's medal and played for Saints 713 times between 1957 and 1974, including 7 seasons as an ever-present (still a club record). Him, Le Tiss, and one day Rickie Lambert as the top 3?
 
Just a little shout out for Paul Gilchrist - #7 on the best day in the club's history.

Top 3 are...
Le Tiss
Keegan
Rickie...although I think he will overtake Kev in a couple of years.
 
Rickie is a great number 7. Ranking them is slightly insidious, but Paine, Le Tiss (despite his being a prat) and Keegan are the obvious choices. But right now, I'd rate Rickie's contribution as high as any of these.

He put his entire weight into it. I would have loved to know how fast that ball was travelling. Over 80mph..? :D

Didn't Late Kick Off do a penalty power test? Lambert was top or 2nd top, definitely over 70, possibly over 80 too.
