so thats 10 points from the last six games, fair to say to say that exceeded most peoples expectations.

what do folks reckon for the next six?

    stoke away
    wigan home
    newcastle away
    wolves home
    fulham away
    everton home

im going for a conservative estimate of 6/7 points.

I am going for 5 points. There are four away games and I have a sneaking suspicion that we won't beat both the strugglers at home.Maybe a surprise win for one of them.

But we are safe. A 14 point margin with 12 games remaining is unassailable. Two of the bottom five might manage it but no more than that.Over the last eight games only Bolton and Blackburn have managed a point a game and QPR only 0.5points per game.

What about the remaining game? You've only listed 5 out of 6!

I'm going for 8! These are rather important games, cos the remaining 6 isn't promising much points wise...

Seven - so that even the Mighty Lambert admits we're 'mathematically safe' !
Because we won't get much mileage out of our last six matches <yikes>

I'll go with 6 and be happy we have achieved our goal for the year!, but would love it to be higher and be pushing for something else. Things will get very ugly now with the matches against the lower teams so lets just hang in and enjoy the ride!

Hmm Wigan, Wolves and Everton at home we should hope for a win in all of these, and Stoke, Newcastle and Fulham are all very difficult places to go so you would expect nothing, BUT, we aren't going to win all three home games and I think we might get something away at one of those two.

I'm going for wins against Wigan and Wolves, draws against Everton and Fulham and losses to Stoke and Newcastle for eight points

    stoke away - lose - 0 points
    wigan home - win - 3 points
    newcastle away - lose - 0 points
    wolves home - draw - 1 point
    fulham away - draw - 1 point
    everton home - draw - 1 point

That's 6 points from the next six games and 5 from our last six (draw at home to Liverpool, draw away to Blackburn and win against Villa)

I think there is a possiblity of 10 but would be happy with 6 as that would take us past the magical 40 which even PL admitted was the safety total.
I think Stoke can be beaten. I think Everton can. Wigan and Wolves will scrap but I expect 4 from them.

Mmmm, tricky one. Because looking at that you say we would beat wigan and wolves, get beat by Fulham and Toon and possibly draw with Stoke. But guarenteed it wont turn out like that, so i would go for.

stoke away - draw (only cos we tend not to lose 2 in a row)
    wigan home - draw
newcastle away - win (only cos its 1 of 2 games i am going to so only a win will do!)
    wolves home - win
    fulham away - lose
    everton home - lose

    So 8 points.

As the optimist, and a firm believer in "why the hell not challenge for europe?" mindset, 12 points.

Stoke - would be disappointed not to get something as they are not in great form (excepting their last game), Wigan - home win, Newcastle, can't see us getting anything, Wolves - should be home win but I can see them nicking a point, Fulham - we may nick a draw, Everton - home win. total eight points with maybe PL publically admitting that we are safe!

is it just me who thinks wigan is the most likely defeat out of those 6? probably because a number of our 'fans' will turn up expecting an easy three points... <whistle>
