Just in case you can't wait for MOTD, I caught Holt's goal on camera. Okay, you may have to squint.

If Andy Carroll plays the next 45 minutes of this cup final like he did the first will Holt be replacing Bent? After the Everton goal that's his best of the season.

What a CV he is building up - Chelsea, Manure, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle etc.

Well done for capturing the moment Yellows <ok>

I was sure the bugger had glued the ball to his foot, how he made that turn in one move it really did look like it was stuck to his boot.

Amazing goal puts a lot of the "superstars" to shame doesn't it

Well, for four hundred grand you are entitled to expect a bit of quality....Not like Torres or Carroll.

50m for Torres - You could buy 125 Holts.

If transfer fees reflected cost per season, we could play Holt all season or pay Torres for 27 mins of one game! Puts it in perspective... Not really but just a little bored at work.

Did not have to wait for MOTD, was on live here. Excellent game, so disappointed for PL and the team.

Holt really is a very special player. In the mid seventies we signed Ted MacDougall. He was a lazy so and so who spent most of the game standing just outs and when he was reuced to sub I thought that he had found his ide the box with his hands on his hips, but when the ball came in he was deadly. It seemed as if he knew where the ball was going to end up and he went there and put it in the net.

Holt has a similar uncanny ability to do this, even when surrounded by a gang of world class defenders. But he's better than Ted because the hustle and bustle is a nightmare for defenders to play against.Honestly I thought he would struggle at this level and when he was reduced to sub I thought that was it.How wrong could you be? Holt has established himself at the pinnacle pf Premiership strikers. With scoring rate, work rate and attitude who would you swap him for? The list is so short that it's non existent.
