Yes bring 'em on; if Arsenal can beat us, then we can beat United and put to bed the hoodoo they have had over us in recent years.

In hindsight I think I was lucky to have had to miss the Arsenal game but come on Spurs let's use that defeat to motivate ourselves for a dynamic and famous victory over United.

We have the players to do the job, one poor game does not a season make. Come to that, one good one against NUFC doesn't either. So let Man U. catch the full force of our dented pride. We have had some wretched luck in this fixture over the years but it can't last for ever.

    Bring on United, COYS!

  2. To beat the side that utterly destroyed AFC 8-2 would, in a way, be some kind of victory over AFC, too.

I doubt we'd be seeing you on our board if it weren't for Gerrard(not Steven!) :D

I don't think you need to look at your victory as clutching at straws. You're still in with a shout of CL football after all.<ok>

On subject, yeah football's a crazy game and United apparently weren't great by any stretch either. Lets hope this was a one off performance for us, home advantage could really help us.

"Parker is not such a great loss"
Sorry Luke to pull that out of your prediction, but Parker will be a massive loss.
He doesn't need to have a like minded player coming at him, he breaks up the play and throws himself around makes a nuisance generally.
I'm supposing Sandro will come in for him and he is a different type of DM.
Harry has said in the after match interview that he won't have them together until Friday so there is no point in a bollocking but maybe just to reinforce that it was was just a bad day and to move on.

Now I thought you would be celebrating your cup rather than releasing pent up frustrations on the Spurs board.

If so, it will be refreshing to see ateam come to WHL to play football. Nowadays, most come trying to survive. The few that have tried to play a bit ( apart from City) have come badly unstuck.

Well. I'm going to bang on about the England job...thats all Harry does.

Once again, Sunday papers are littered with Harry and England comments, great preparation for the NLD, and with the Dutch friendly next its going to be all about Harry and what he'd do.....again! <steam>, so another great week of preparation for the United game....don't bring them on I say, its a another stuffing imo.

Until this England thing is resolved, Spurs will remain unsettled and all over the place....and 6th or 7th at this rate.

No, no it wouldn't at all, even remotely. Milan thumped Arsenal 4 0, did they somehow get a win over ye yesterday, I think not.

I hope ye pay United no respect, this is what always costs ye in coy games where you should really go at them, you have the midfield to take em on and suppress scholes, Bale will have to work hard and stay on his feet, but you lot seem to always pay United far too much respect because they are your dodgy team.

I want spurs to win this one for sure<ok>

if we're going to have any chance of beating them Harry must play both Bale and Lennon,as i don't think United's full back's are good enough to hold them

You didn't really understand this did you?

Not that I care whether it is a victory over Arsenal or not. A victory over Utd is important to us for many reasons. Getting one over Arsenal is not one of them.

Barring injuries, we must start with a midfield of Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Bale - we need to drop the mentality of containing opponents, as all that really does is stifle our own game and allow the opponents to play theirs. It's not exactly Sun Tzu...

And with VDV to make the 5 when needed, but to allow Bale and Lennon to get forward.

i beieve you could be right..however i never understand how a pro with self respect etc..and the advice of the manager ringing in his ears..albeit dodgy advice..wrong tactics etc..but when you step on the pitch..even as a sunday park footballer like me..then my self respect is what matters..i dont want to be embarassed...yesterday i didnt see that..it was quite surreal..i dont believe ive felt like yesterday since before the martin Jol and on occasion whilst MJ was in charge but never since HR took over...i blame HR for yesterday..ive become sick of our club becoming a media circus...we used to laugh at city for there distracting disruptions...now its always us in the limelight due to the fukin England job..fuk the England team and fuk the euros couldnt give a fukin toss...its about Spurs or fuk off!

get your fukin head down HR!

    off to the Bill Nichs!

Agreed. That's what cost us yesterday. Man Utd will be one of the few teams who come to WHL to give us a game. We have to get back on track as quickly as possible after yesterday's disastrous performance. The best way to do that, IMO, would be to go for Utd's throat, and rip it out!
