i totally agree with you and i am by no means taking anything away from them as it is one hell of an achievement.

they did get promoted just at the right time as there's likely to be 5 teams who aren't even going to get the the survival mark of 40 points. also none of the other bottom half teams have any money to spend so they can't strengthen like the evertons and villas.

saying that though, the core of their team is the team from league 1 so shows you how well they've done.

Also proves ( up to a point ) that you can throw all the money you want into a group of STARS , if they don't gel , why bother ?

And with a big man leading the frontline, serving as their talisman. Lambert is better than Holt, though, imo. Anyone disagree?

I'll give them Ruddy as better than Kelvin, though.

Though I think they do get credit - all the time, infact. They're definitely not unnoticed by pundits, media, or fans alike.

Personally, I'd like QPR to go down, to show that actually, spending money isn't a guarantee of success, nor is firing your managers every few months, and that finding that balance between competent players who are up to the challenge, have it within them to grow, improve and learn, and are used to playing together as a team is way more important to teams going up. This recession will actually help us if we go up - the smaller Premiership teams are losing their top players, can't afford to buy; and financially well-managed teams who have their team gelled and organised, and have had an eye on the longer term goal (and hopefully have a bit of momentum) can certainly hope to take advantage of this situation.

just on the subject of qpr - its hard to see where their points are coming from.

their last 12 games involve playing arsenal, liverpool, man utd, tottenham, chelsea, man city and sunderland.
