Hopefully when 606 does finally pop it's cloggs, this will be a bit more animated. We all have to go somewhere, after all!

It's dreadfully dull just now, and not very user friendly. They've made some improvements already though, so when the time comes, maybe it will be better.

Still has some fierce moderation though. (Only kidding Dave!)

Oh, and Cadbury's is ****e, can I vote for Lindt?

Mine was just a tongue-in-cheek comment regarding the moderation on the Norwich section.

I don't know about moderation in general. If that's happening, then it needs attention. One thing you can trust with the Beeb is that those comments are not allowed.

Hi DM - I agree that the disaster 'jokes' are in very poor taste, but always, within seconds of any major event, the sick e-mails and texts are doing the rounds and I like to think that most of us are adult enough to decide whether or not to look at them, rather than having a third party saying , "You musn't look at those, so I shall ban them!' Surely that's not what we want to go back to, is it? Moderation should only be used to prevent a personal, abusive attack! Anything else we can decide for ourselves whether we wish to observe it or not.

good one mate

Dave, having thought about it (and I didn't really before) you are quite right about the moderation. Although that type of joke is not to my taste, we are able to make up our own minds, and ignore them if necessary. Heavy handed moderation is not the answer, but.....

What, as our resident moderator, is your take on the plethora of wums currently on 606? If or when they migrate to this board (actually I see that process has already started!) how do we deal with it?

Should we just let them get on with it, and ignore? It's a difficult one. I'm tempted to keep away from 606 at present because of them, which is a shame because there are some good posters, and I'm always interested in reading about our club. It's difficult to ignore them (or him!) though because it's everywhere.

The final ignominy was being 'outed' tonight by some kind person as the alter ego of gibsy 12! Can I just say I'm a 58 year old grandfather, married for 33 years, who’s only had ONE user name, stupid as it is, who would never belittle a fellow fan, and who has followed my team for MANY years.

I’ll happily meet up with anyone at the match or before for a pint (and I don’t mean that threateningly!) As I apparently live close to WLOH, maybe I could give him a lift in!

Happy days!
