No doubt the FA would be happy to encourage a Wembley fixture between a Bankers XI and a petroleum Industry XI...that would really secure football's future amongst the youth of today.

Quite theo, total disgrace in my opinion. :(

I see that on the beeb 606 site robthehornet reports that he has received the share offer document. It looks as if the takeover will go through.

Just had a look at a poll of WML members about how much our Danny is worth. Interesting that so far, with quite a few votes in, 45% are saying £5 or £6 million. ;)

BBW, Aiming to study Economics and not sure where I'm staying yet, hopefully the Towers or somewhere like that, they look quite good. I'm sure I can persuade the Father to drop by to pick me up for away games <laugh>

Bit of a nippy start in bandit country, but looking quite bright in West West London this morning
I see Danny has not made the list of top Championship players - Grant Holt has got in though  So a reasonably successful thug can get on the list, but the leading scorer cannot.
I like the extended hours on not606, it's a bit like pubs being open for 24 hours - :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    24 hour pub eh!

i have just had ANOTHER curry lunch.... and of course there will be ANOTHER curry dinner this evening

Most expats in the orient develop a "healthy" interest/obession with all things digestive...

I asked the houseman today for a small bowl of muesli and half an omelette.. as a way of cutting down on what they give me..

He said "I will try sir"

Now I got the above PLUS
    A bowl of fruit
    A bowl of curd
    A fresh pineapple juice
    2 slices of toast
    A paratha
A selection of jams sauces and pickles...

    argh......

Anway as Norway asked.... I am starting the journey back tomorrow evening and expect to arrive at the airport just south of Wigan {$$$Chester) saturday night..

    40 degrees here now...

have a good day one and all..

Looks like I'm on my own. Slightly foggy grey Bucks morning - a good day for getting work done and not nestling in the nest.

Ak, when you get a mo, could you (or anyone else) answer Leo's question about how we get eg redwine in as a smiley. I'm sure earlier in the thread/back in Jan this was covered but I can't remember that long ago!

Bit murky here this morning with a bit of mizzle first thing. :( Such a change from the past week, but then we are still in March.

Spent some time getting all of those sticky labels off of my guttering that caused me so much hassle yesterday. Why do they have to put these labels with the bar codes in the worst possible places and why does the glue have to be so hard to remove. <yikes>

My new satellite equipment has arrived this morning also. This should enable me to watch French and UK television off of the one dish. They transmit off of different satellites so this looks like clever stuff to me. The man who sold me the bits said he would put a diagram in the box, but instead put a note in asking me to phone him.

    He is out.:emoticon-0112-wonde

    Morning all.

A bit grey down here. A few things to plant later on...rhubarb, bay tree, blackcurrant bush and a couple of roses. There's more work involved in this gardening business than I thought before we moved...

Lying in my sick bed, I just watched the BEEB's highlights of the Ipswich game - and two things crossed my mind:

    1) How does the voiceover guy keep his job? The Was-it-Danny-or-was-it-Troy goal was no simple tap-in as he reported - I've seen lots of those chances fluffed (too many at The Vic :emoticon-0111-blush). He also called Jenkins' miss as DG's. Here was me thinking big numbers on their backs helped!

    2) The number of Ipswich fans who had disappeared from behind the goal sometime between goals two and three was quite sizeable. Surely they didn't all have a sheep to catch?
