his name was Mr J A Wight.

His dad Jim was a plater from Brandling St, who moved to Glasgow with his wife in the early 1900s.
When the wife was due to give birth he sent her back to Sunderland so his son would be born a Mackem.
Even though Glasgow had two huge clubs, Jim instilled in his son a life long love of all things SAFC.
This love for SAFC led to Mr J A Wight being made life President.

When he didn't have his hand up a cows arse, he tried writing books including ones on football, which didn't do very well.

He did eventually become famous and never stopped supporting SAFC.
