Why not,he's only a little, mouthy, bald headed git from Kingswood and an ex "gashead", meet plenty of them on our Bristol City forum,no problem......
More importantly, the thread. How do you rate the chances of obtaining 18 points plus over the next 14 games?
Very difficult, how do think you will keep your (BRFC) early season promises of being the Barcelona of the 4 tier and achieving instant promotion this season....
Surprised everyones expecting us not to win any of our remaining away games, typical City will probably surprise us and win them all
None. Sorry I didn't make it clear, I'm a Saints fan. Just making reference to the guaranteed extra 6pts City would have if we had another couple of fixtures...guess it doesn't work if nobody knows who i support My bad. Good luck for the rest of the season and if you could beat Blackpool, Cardiff, West Ham and Birmingham I'd be much obliged.
Saph,I'm referring to general comment, I'm sure you are to wise a "gashead" to talk the rubbish the rest of us heard....
Yes I realised after I replied. Thanks for the support. Just make sure you get Ricky his Championship medal. Unfortunately West Ham seem to be on a bit of a roll.
I appreciate that Wiz. But as you know I try to avoid banging on about wanting one combined Bristol Club wearing the red and blue vertical stripes which would be my preference........... No I did not say Barcelona strip!!!
Still looking like 48 pts to survive I'm afraid. Discounting Portsmuth:- Millwall have Coventry and Florest and Donny away possibly just 0 points Forest have Donny, Millwall,BCFC at home with no away games bottom 5 possibly 7 points Coventry have Millwall and Donny at home BCFC away possibly 6 points Donny has Millwall at home and Florest and coventry away possibly 3 points BCFC HAVE fLOREST AWAY AND cOVENTRY HOME POSSIBLY 4 POINTSSO HOW WOULD THAT LOOK:- MILLWALL P 35 PTS 31 also have 5 top 8 team games 4 at home. BCFC P 34 PTS 35 fLOREST P34 PTS 35 also have 5 top 8 team games 1 at home. Coventry P35 PTS 31 also have 4 top 8 team games 1 at home. Donny P33 PTS 27 also have 4 top 8 team games 4 all away. Games against top 8 nil points. BY APPLYING AVE pts GAINED against future Home and Away with fixtures left = final bottom 5 20TH...48 PTS BCFC 21ST...48 pts Florest 22nd...42 pts Coventry 23rd...41pts Millwall 24th...40 pts Donny BCFC NEED 6 WINS FROM LAST 14 TO SURVIVE!!!!!!
I think we'll get a total of 42 points and will not get any away from home at all. I also don't think we'll be increasing our tally on Saturday either unfortunately. Whether that will result in relegation is in the lap of the gods, but if I was a betting man (and I'm not) I reckon we'll do well to survive. For those of you who reckon we'll get three points at Forest, sorry I really don't think so....They are poor at home, but even we're worse than that away and we've not beaten them in the league home or away since 1973
aNGelic We should exceed 42 IMHO I reckon team 22nd will have between 42 to 46, we will struggle to to get above 46...having said that my post 34 is based on the formula I have used for years...it has been quite accurate and why in past seasons whilst everyone else has dooooooooooooooooom and gloooom I was always bullish. This year however if you read the tone of my posts this last 2 months, for the first time in 4 years I am feeling worried, NO very worried. I reckon on a point from Florest, 3 from Coventry plus 7 more at home( 10 ) and 4 more from away ( 5 ) that is 15; its less than my formula. UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES WORST CASE SCENARIO'S V FLOREST AND COVENTRY MUST BE DRAWS.
JohnG2 The problem for City is that the other teams in the mix playing each other means that at least two points are acrued by them.
Blackpool 0 Leicester. 1 Cardiff. 1 Watford 3...3 Derby. 3...1 Coventry. 1....3 West Ham. 0 Barnsley. 3 Away Ipswich. 0 Portsmouth. 1....3 Middlesbough. 0 Notts Forest. 1.....1 pt Birmingham. 0 Burnley. 0 thats the only predictions I would make
JGF2 - Aside from saying we wouldn't get a single point away from home between now and the end of the season (which I really hope I'm wrong about obviously) we desperately need wins at home, but apart from possibly against Watford, Coventry and Barnsley I don't see any others we're likely to win except maybe Derby, but given that we'll more than likely not win all three games that I've identified it may even itself out if we beat Cloughie junior. For the life of me, and now especially with our increasingly desperate injury crisis, I just cant see anything better than home draws against Leicester and maybe Derby, but I can see clear and decisive defeats to Blackpool (especially after them being humiliated at home last night), Cardiff, and West Ham. In a few games time, unless the form book gets launched out of a top floor window, we are going to be in a certain place, without a certain implement.
I know the law of averages; probability curves and standard deviations are not in City's favour, there is always the chance of a big slice of luck and golden optimism.
