Only a couple of days before our defeat against lesser was thinking and pondering about where our club would be without holty, the guy is such an inspiration to the team, and he gives the whole thing a lift when hes on the pitch. Was so gutted he didnt play on saturday, and when he wasnt on the subs bench i thought we would struggle, anyways the point to the thread if you had to choose between lambert and holt who would you rather have, personally for me has to be holt we dont make all them songs up for nothing, and maybe just a coincidence that the fortunes of the club changed when he joined our club too, your thoughts please
Come on, it has to be Lambert. We had Holt in the game we lost 1 - 7 to Colchester after all. Holt is much nearer being replaceable then Lambert is!
What planet are you on? Lambert and/or McNally are a hundred times more important than Holt. If either of them leave, the club could - and I say could and not would - implode. When Holt leaves or retires it will have no impact on the future of the Club. All this panic about Holt not playing on Saturday - how do we know that he wasn't carrying an injury and needed a week off?
I think replacing holt would be impossible we couldnt afford it, going by todays market and on his performances this season
lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert lambert
planet earth, dont remember mentioning anything about mr McNally, where did that come in?if we wouldnt had grant holt for the last 3 seasons we wouldnt be in the prem right now,but of course all down to lambert hey
You can't really compare a player and a manager. In their own ways both are important.Half the clubs in The Premiership would have jumped at the chance to sign a player that has his influence on the team performance for ten times the fee Gunn paid.Signing of the decade IMHO.
I mentioned McNally purely to make the point that in my opinion Holt is not even the second most important person at Carrow Road. If Lambert or McNally left the short and medium term future of the Club would be at risk. If Holt left it would be an inconvenience. I cannot believe that you really think that Holt is the sole reason we are now in the Premiership - as somebody has already mentioned he was in the side that lost 7-1 at home to Colchester and it was McNally taking charge of the situation and bringing in Lambert that turned it round and also prevented us going into administration. We are now in the promised land because of those two gentlemen - end of story.
ncfcpaul - I've said on several threads previously that the 'batting order' has to be - 1. McNally, as without him, Lambert would never have become our manager and we would have sold some of our better players in the transfer window. Remember Doomcaster?? 2. Lambert, as without him, Holt wouldn't be getting the service he does from others in the team such as Bennett, Crofts, Pilkington etc. 3. Holt, as without him we wouldn't now see ourselves on 35 points, with 13 games to go!!! I agree Holt is an inspiration to the team and thoroughly deserves to be captain, but as others have said, he can be replaced much more easily than either PL ofr DM!!!!
