Just a few observations really, so any thoughts are welcome.
Keith Hill.
Was really impressed with his Rochdale team last season, he got them playing some good stuff. To go to Barnsley & continue to play that way in the ultra competitive Championship deserves a lot of credit. I think he's done a really good job on a tight budget up there.
Watford.
Over the last few years they have had some very serious money issues, & this season I thought they would struggle under the new gaffer. But in balancing the books, selling a key player like Sordell, they look like they have become a well structured outfit, not continually looking over their shoulder at the bottom three & also not having the continued worry about what the bank manager thinks.
West Ham.
I, like Sullivan thought they would run away with it this season, but unlike him, I've taken a large amount of pleasure in their continued struggle to stamp their authority on the top of the table position. And especially when he comes out with things like;
"If we had kept Demba Ba we would have been 15 points clear at the top."
He's good, but he'd need wings to bang in all those sky balls mate!
And lastly Pompey.
Although troubled, at least they are keeping the bottom of the table interesting. Respect.
Any other teams who deserve a mention? (us, but that can be for every other thread
)
