I think he's actually right. Brighton have been the media darlings in the recent past, and I'm also sure those around Poyet have all promoted that Premier League readiness feel. Liverpool just showed how incredibly ordinary Brighton are. I don't want to make too much of it, but I do sometimes worry how big a bump back to Earth Saints might suffer if the seemingly inevitable happens [yes, you know what I mean] after this season.
If we go up, I would expect us to get a few early wins because we are a decent side and may catch a couple of teams out, then it would become tougher. Mind you that's what I thought this year. I would hope we would keep out of relegation zone most of the season.
On the back of the programme, we have 38 players listed (37 if you discount Falque). Forecast could go..but would have to be replaced with a GK. Connolly, Dickson, Forte and Holmes to go (?) makes 33. Do they count youngsters...if so, a few of them may be at risk. Forgot Barnard..making 32.
Brighton netted three own goals in their 6-1 defeat at Liverpool today, maintaining the famous tradition of Brighton men scoring up the wrong end.
