    Fair enough.

I don't agree that the FA Cup is not a diminished competition. It clearly is.

Those of us who are of more advanced years probably notice it more.I think that forty years ago the build up was far bigger and we always watched the final. Now,unless a team I have some interest in participates I don't even bother.

That statement is a complete load of bollocks!!
All he kept coming out with was "We've got a massive game on Sunday"!!! That's not a valid excuse, as I've posted on another thread,
we stood a better chance of beating Leicester and progressing in the F.A Cup, than we have of beating Man U on Sunday.
That's two dire performances and two excellect one's in the last 4 games!?!?!?!?
He didn't want to win that game, and anyone who was there will have seen that!
As I've posted many times, as a fully paid up supporter of the club I love and care about, I will NOT slavishly applaud and condone
bad performances, players not trying and stupid statements. I feel insulted by that performance, and reserve my right to say so,
even though I don't know anything about football!
Now then, where did I put it?............................................................
    ...................................................................................................

    Oh there it is...........................

ILD - you may have lost the plot, but, please, don't ever lose your sense of humour!

    i love this team.

sometimes they lose. sometimes they don't play very well.

i still love this team though.

they have been magnificent for nearly three years almost week in, week out.

all of a sudden, we lose a cup tie and the whole world is collapsing.

    sheer madness.

    100% agree ILD.

As supporters we should reserve the right to pass an opinion.

As I am £50 lighter in my pocket, and after a performance which IMO was
the worst at Carrow Rd since 1-7 debacle,I can and will say that PL
probably did want to win the game, but he wasn't overly concerned
    if we didn't.:confused::confused::confused:

I think you're spot on there CT. I was swanning around swinging London in the sixties, that's not coming back either! <laugh>

I think people have a right to be disappointed without being rounded upon. Redruth said it all for me in another thread when he said it's a question of how soon you get over it and move on. Like him, that moment for me came before the final whistle. Now it's back to the real task in hand.

Incidentally, thanks for the heads up on Alan Hunter's books set in Norwich, CT. Enjoyed the first one immensely, and just received the next two! Quite nostalgic for those of us growing up in that period, and a great thriller to boot. <ok>

To be honest, I think that sums up the vast majority of us on here! We wanted to win, but are not overly concerned that we haven't!

    Even Barcelona lose sometimes!

sometimes teams play badly. it can be down to any manner of reasons why they do. it happens. thats the thing with football - you never really know what you're going to get. sometimes its boring, sometimes its exciting, sometimes its ugly, sometimes its frustrating, sometimes its glorious... thats football and thats what makes us keep attending every week. its fine to moan at a bad performance one week but you can't complain about the money you chose to splash out to watch it - we all take that risk every time we go to a game
