I'm not even that up for the Spurs game as the only prospect of fighting for 4th spot doesn't excite me in the least, it's a bloody disgrace that that's all we have to play for now, simply getting 4th spot, the whole season is a complete waste now and I just can't till it's over.
If we can at least finish third we will qualify for the CL proper. Something left to fight for... ideally you want to avoid having to get to the CL places via the qualifying rounds like we did with Udinese Still if you offered me 4th this season I'd take it now...
Yeah why don't you quote the rest of the context which makes it clear? Fighting for 4th spot isn't something that excites me, but I know to someone like you who has simply accepted how sh!t we are, that fighting for 4th spot is something really incredible and something to get so excited for. We beat Spurs next week and so what? What does it achieve in the grand scheme of things, a top 4 finnish? YAY remind me to celebrate later.
lol funny, last week you said for all the woes this season we're in the hunt for 4th, in Europe, and the FA Cup, you were eventually found out in the other 2, so please stop using that weak line, we haven't even secured 4th, and if we don't secure 4th what will you say then? oh well at least we're 6th, 7th, just put an end in trying to spin things to a positive tune, this has been a horrible season, a very sh!t season, this is the weakest Arsenal team in a decade, we achieved our highest premier league loss of 8-2, our highest European loss of 4-0, out of all competitions, and the list goes on.
I haven't said either of those things, but don't let the facts get in the way of your assumptions. 4th is all we've got left to fight for this season - and 'in the grand scheme of things' as you put it, that means the difference between getting champions league football next season. So that's something to fight for in my book, rather than just give up and moan instead as you seem to want to do.
erm, Piskie - you did use the fact we were in the CL and FA Cup as reason to say things were not so bad.
Yeah well unlike you achieving 4th spot is not something I get all excited and cheerful about, in fact, the very FACT we have to FIGHT for 4th spot shows how far we have declined, we now have to look forward to getting 4th spot as an achievement. And as for reaching Europe, for what? To get thrashed 4-0 again? As if we are even good enough to compete with the elites of Europe with this sh!t squad we have. So I will repeat it again, I am not up for the Spurs game, fighting for 4th spot is not something I find to be thrilling or something to be proud of, the sooner this season ends, the better, not a SINGLE one of our upcoming league games excites me in the least, because AGAIN, only fighting for 4th spot is not something I get excited or happy about, the whole season is a waste, a joke, and as I said, the sooner it ends, the better. We're still in February btw and already out of all competitions and just have 4th to look forward to, how pathetic we have become with this joke of a manager, the sooner he leaves too, the better. I'm even thinking of just putting my seat up for ticket exchange for the rest of the season, that's how little I give a sh!t for this season at the moment.
Don't worry I'm certain Spurs won't win it. I think one of the Northern clubs will. If we can get to the Semi I'd back us against anyone
I'm not saying that it's something to get 'excited and cheerful' about - I'm saying it's still worth fighting for though. The 'might as well give up now' attitude isn't going to do us any favours is it ?
Well there you go, that's my point, I am not excited and cheerful, I didn't say give up, but I said I am not up for it, I am not excited for it, what's wrong with that? The thought of next week's game does not excite or thill me in the LEAST. I might sell the ticket.
seems like there will be plenty available if you can believe the 'I will not attend matches' types !!!
