..........and I was just out of my pram.

Watched him as a young sprog through the late '60s as he ploughed upfield from the back with opposition players bouncing off him.

Earliest recollections of any City player I actually saw is a vague (very vague!) memory of seeing Tappy - can't remember when, but must have been around '64/'65.

Sparkey your early recollections match mine although in my case only a few matches each year. Don Murray a real player and I just about remember Tappy.<cheers>

To be fair to Musty he is close to reporting the correct facts on his info. On his info though id say liquidation not administration.

Problem is Musty lives in a 3rd world country and they are a couple of years behind civilisation.

Good news Musty - we got rid of Ridsdale , got a billionaire owner and on a week Sunday play Liverpool in the Carling Cup Final!

To be honest Sparks, I hadn't realised the crims from below had progressed past cave drawings

Hilts - I thought liquidation is what Darcy suffers from regularly.

Third world is a compliment - fourth division would be closer.

Well we tried to tell you all when Leeds went into administration that it was all going to implode but all (most) of the clubs voted against us and it's going to come back and haunt them.

    What is going to implode?
We are 4th in the league which is above most peoples expectations and doing better than most expected.

Not aimed at Cardiff, just at football overall.

There is a danger that more clubs will go into administration if they do not reign in spending beyond their means. I expect the tax man to get firmer on clubs missing tax payments.

I have no doubt that atleast one big club will go under soon as HMRC make an example of a club in it's battle with football. As always it will be the fans of that club who will suffer although as a business the club will deserve to go due to it's historical cheating of local businesses and the public purse.

None of us know who it may be, but HMRC are likely to pick on someone. Reports coming out of Pompey and Rangers for example are suggesting they use money they owe for taxes as a form of extended credit. Other reports in the past have talked about this practice being rife in football.
