Does anyone know what the general terms and conditions of loan deals are? Do clubs agree with the loanee's parent club to give them preferential treatment e.g ensure they play a certrain % of games if fit and available? If not then why isn't Waghorn put in the side ahead of other loaned strikers that are not giving 100% effort?
I dont think a must play clause or anything like that exists. Vitor has played a handful of games, It took Mee about 3-4 games until he made his first appearance. Naughton plays every week cause he class. Van Aanholt is injured at the moment and i think he has injured while he was playing or he is truly a crap player. Bruma has only start 2-3 games. And up front Howard is injured, Vassell dont score enough goals and i dont think Sven thinks that Waghorn is ready for first team football yet so that just leaves Yakubu. The Yak has a reputation so that may be wont is stopping him getting dropped at the moment
The thing is every deal is different. There is no rule about it but the Club can eaasily put a clause in the contract to say a player has to play a certain amount of games. Thank God Van Aanholt's injured or I think this kind of clause may have meant he was still in the team at the moment. Anyway, as for your hinted point, I agree. Drop Yakubu and start Waghorn.
not sur about that. yakubu comes with a reputation and does just by his presence create space by pulling defenders towards him. waghorn is an excellent impact player - but he is stll young and is lacking a bit of confidence at the minute
Well I have seen very little of this over the last few games. That sounds like you're making excuses for him to me. He's not scoring and doesn't look like he's trying. At this point in the season you need players who have something to prove and will put everything into achieving the teams goals.
fair point - maybe the yak is relying solely on his reputation alone - you are quite right - we can't and shouldn't carry anyone
