The thing is Beddy, when used properly it's a joy and an invaluable resource certainly for me in a business sense. Unfortunately, as with all walks of life and particularly prevalent amongst social media, you do get twits doing it for the wrong reasons. I was completely reasonable with Moose, I just wanted to know if he was going to apologise, and whether he thought his actions, in the light of the evidence, were suitable for someone in journalism........seems my standards are a little bit higher than his (thankfully). ........yes, that was definitely a pig flying!...........
All of the other presenters and guests on talksport treat the Mouse like the halfwit he is to the point where he is considered a joke figure i suggest we do the same
I used to listen to talk sport and have to agree most of it was absolute rubbish but what finished it for me was their recruitment of Andy Gray and his sexist mate. Now I listen to Womans Hour in the mornings on Radio Four with the very lovely Mrs Godders instead. It is quite interesting and just once in a while when they aren't on one of their "men are horrible and to blame for everything" spats they actually talk some sense.
Dunno why I listen to Talksport considering most of the presenters annoy me greatly. Saying that you can't beat Keys and Gray in mid-morning and Hawksbee and Jacobs after that.
If he's accused someone of cheating and video evidence shows they're not isn't it defamation of character when he refuses to withdraw his opinion? It wasn't when he initially gave it as the opinion was valid at the time as based on the evidence available that's what he felt had happened, but once shown to be wrong it's not a justifiable opinion as you're intentionally ignoring evidence so you can't hide behind "it's my opinion, everyone is entitled to an opinion".
What annoyed me most was, the photographer for West Ham sent him pictures of the game. Like Noble scoring and Cole celebrating which Moose retweeted (for those who don't use twitter it means that he re-sent the pics out to all his 40,000+ followers so they could see the pics) The photographer even sent him a pic of Taylor with his hands on Sharp neck, saying ' i think this is why Taylor got sent off' Sadly, the sad man decided that his followers won't see this and kept it to himself, therefore no one could tell him he was wrong. So pathetic that he can't admit he's wrong, also loved it that Jordan Sibley had a little dig at him over it too.
Yes, yes it is. But raise this point to Moose and you'll be ignored. Le Tissier's Laces was getting replies, until he presented Moose with a link that would have taken a second of his time to click.
I decided to write his apology to Billy Sharp for him though.............and sent it to Billy via Moose.
The sad thing is some football fans listen to TalkSport and genuinely think they are intelligent football pundits. They are just so ****ing dreadful it's unbelievable, and the fact that there flagship pundits is Keys & Gray goes to show how poor the station really is.
I still remember Michael Svensson being sent off for touching Mario Jardel when we played Allardyce's Bolton about 8 or 9 years ago (great response from Strachan: http://www.leaguemanagers.com/news/news-4087.html), and who can forget Tal Ben Haim rolling about to get Rooney sent off a couple years after that when Bolton played Man U. Sharp gets shoved in the throat though, clearly doesn't roll or clutch is head, and is criticised by Allardyce of all people for being a cheat. On the West Ham forums a lot of them are still adamant that it shouldn't have been a red.
In fairness, a few of them towards the end of the thread acknowledge that it was definitely a red card offence and that Sharp didn't play act. Taylor will just get given a 4 match ban for a frivolous appeal
In my usual calm and measured way, I just messaged ian abrahams and told him he is a disgraceful journalist.
haha, not the brightest bunch, I keep asking the question why did Taylor get involved anyway? Secondly they complain Sharp 'rolled' around yet Noble dived for the pen? They can't have both and they have absolutly no chance of winning an appeal.
I loved the post where a West Ham fan said stop showing the photo where Sharp is being held by the throat as the video shows he was clearly pushed in the chest. ?????
that was my favourite too fran the guy claiming that the photo was fake as it must of been taken from the east stand was also very funny
